My sympathy for your loss.![]()
That's a shame. I would have been so let down.

Disney doesn't normally send their sweep winning notification via USPS, they always come via Fedex, at least for the ones I have won and from ppl on my sweep boards that have won. Hope its good news irregardless
watkinsme- yours does put a new spin on it, I have never sent an affy for Disney to NYC, they always went to FL, very interesting....
Excuse my ignorance. I'm new to the whole contest thing. What's an affy? I'm not familiar with that term.
An affidavit is a type of verified statement or showing, or in other words, it contains a verification, meaning it is under oath or penalty of perjury.
Basically it's a statement that you sign verifying that you are eligible to win the contest under the rules stated and that you did in fact not violate any stated rules.

I know what an affidavit is. I just wasn't making the leap to that nickname for it. Got it now. Thanks.I just had a letter delivered by Fedex from Ventura Marketing as well. It looks official and matches what the official rules say but I'm still skeptical. They didn't call or e-mail me either so I'm not sure. They ask that I have the affidavit sent back within the next few days and provided a pre-paid Fedex envelope. Does anyone know if this is for real?

It's TOTALLY for real!! There's a huge thread on the Theme Parks board about this, and this is exactly how and from whom the winners are being notified. Get that affidavit notarized & sent back -- looks like you won!!![]()

Awesome! It kind of sounded bogus and I didn't like the idea of sending my SSN but if it worked out for you (and I see your name on the winners list) then I'll send mine back today. I can't believe it. I never win anything!!!![]()
