My mother (huge Mickey fan) passed away last August. My cousin helped me make a "t-shirt" quilt for my daughter using some of my mother's embroidered fleece shirts. It came out so well that my niece asked if I could make her one too. We just finished the top part last week. Here it is:

I embroidered the red connecting blocks on my Brother Disney embroidery machine. I love the way it came out. We didn't have enough embroidered fleece left to use, so we did this one out of regular sweatshirts.

I know my mom would be happy to know she's still bringing comfort to the granddaughters. :littleangel:

You did such an awesome job! I have a t shirt quilt started, but I have not finished. What a wonderful way to remember someone.

Wow!!
That is amazing!!! Mom is definitely proud of the way this quilt came out..and it so special for your daughter to have your mom with her all the time.

We are making my dd a t-shirt quilt for her HS graduation this year.. I really must get going on this.. we are running out of time..

Again, what a wonderful quilt.. thank you for sharing!

What a beautiful quilt. I made one with family photos many years ago. It was a lot of work but worth it.
