SWDAS - is there anything to sign up for in advance?

So I just did my OCI for my SWDAS cruise in February. On the day marked for SWDAS, I checked for activities under the "On-Board Fun" section, and saw just the usual BBB and simulator options. Nothing SW-related.

Is there anything SW-related that I need to book or register for in advance, like, say, on embarkation day at Guest Services or the Port Adventures desk? Isn't there a Jedi training thing in the WD Theater (similar to what they do at the Studios) that fills up quickly?

Thank you!

We are on a SWDAS cruise in January and so far, we have not been told in advance of any activities to sign up for on SW days :/ I know for the SW cruises last year people were able to order merchandise in advance and so far, that is also not an option.

I remember reading something somewhere that you need to choose a set of Star Wars characters to meet after you get into your room. There is a card to fill out and then you have to put it in at guest services. However, I do not remember the details. I am glad you are asking this question. I have been thinking I should figure this out before our trip in March! If anyone chimes in, what were the three groups of Star Wars characters you had to choose from again? I think you were able to meet two out of the three groups of characters or something like that. I am sorry I am not much help!!!

I think I read last night that your locales were "Dark Side" with Phasma and Vader, "Tatooine" with Threepio and Artoo, and "Bespin" with Boba Fett and ... Chewbacca?

the characters come to your room? how does that work?

No, I think the slip of paper where you rank your preferred meet-n-greets are found in your room.

I haven't seen anything to book for my early February SWDAS, and I've heard you get tickets to 2/3 groups of characters. My question would be, how do tickets for those work? If I don't care, and my stepdad in another cabin does, can we coordinate and I give him my ticket to the third group? I would assume so, right? And I'd assume tickets are per cabin?

I hadn't heard about the merchandise ahead of time. Maybe once they decided it was going to be more than a limited run, they actually ordered enough production to stock the gift shop...

There is a Jedi training in the theater - that's first-come, first-served. I read an insanely detailed review when I first booked, so I barely remember and of course it may have changed, but I believe the rush was to get in the first rows, because the chosen children were all from right in the front. Of course, there are several showtimes in the day, so if you go to the early one and don't get lucky, you can plan to go to a later one too and be armed with info on how to change your own luck. If that's even still the case - it seems like it might have been something heavily complained about. Special snowflakes not getting chosen and all...

Sorry! When I reread my message, I realized it sounded like the characters come to your room! The card is in your room that you fill out and turn in. Then you are given certain characters that you will get to meet. I asked this question in September, so I will try to insert the page here (I have never done this before, so I hope it works!). I still have some questions about the SW characters though.
