I own at Boulder Ridge Villas and love it. Matter of fact, I prefer it to Copper Creek Villas, of which I've stayed. During the holidays, there's something about walking over the 'bridge' back from the Wilderness Lodge Lobby, with the music playing, the white Christmas Lights and the quiet compactness of the property. To each their own. Anyway...
I'm wondering how many people, for Wilderness Lodge's sake, have sold their BRV contract and flipped to CCV because of the 2024 (BRV) expiration. Is this a thing or am I making more out of it than I should be? I know I've read multiple times that booking CCV after the holiday decorations go up are like "The Hunger Games" and I can't say I've had that experience with Boulder Ridge - at least not to that extent (and I'm talking about booking Studios, too).
Lately, I'm thinking to wait on Lakeshore Lodge if I'm going to sell Boulder Ridge - or at least pick up any new contract. Still, as big as that resort's going to be, I just can't see Disney spending the money to make it as grand and thematic as Wilderness Lodge, part of the Eisner era, especially decorating for Christmas. I keep waiting on concept art for the resort and can only figure Disney hasn't released any - even though they're well on their way to building the thing - because people will see it and wait to purchase (it), rather than buy at a current resort offerings like the Polynesian Island Tower, Riviera, etc.
So, has anyone given up on Boulder Ridge Villas because of the 2042 deed expiration for a 2068 Copper Creek Villas contract? Anyone thinking along those lines that hasn't pulled the trigger yet? Will Lakeshore Lodge be your trade-up from Boulder Ridge if moving on from a 2042 contract is in your future?
