Swan vs Dolphin

Swan/Dolphin no longer use WDW busses. They use their own (Mears) which means MK guests get dropped off at the TCC, rather than the MK bus stop.

What does this mean? You get dropped off and then have to ride the monorail or boat to Magic Kingdom? And WDW guests get dropped off closer so they can just walk right into Magic Kingdom?

Yes. Or you can do what many people do and walk to either the Yacht Club or the Boardwalk and hop on their bus to the Magic Kingdom.

I like this idea. Does anyone know when the first busses have been leaving from YC, BC, or BWI to MK?

Don't forget to add in the resort fee and parking fee if you have a vehicle. Since we drive, this adds about $60 more per night.

Good reminder, the Swan and Dolphin room discounts can be considerable and even though Disney deluxes now charge parking, they have no resort fee like Swan and Dolphin do. We stayed Swan this past April, resort, parking and taxes came out to $70/nt on top of room charges.

We prefer Swan, have stayed at both but I don't care for the smaller beds. Typically the difference in price is never much that it makes a big deal to choose Dolphin over Swan. I think both resorts have some great perks just based on location alone. Walking to DHS and Epcot can't be beat and for me without an epcot monorail running right now, these Epcot area resorts are worth more a night than GF, Poly and CR.
