I am planning our trip to wdw 7/30-8/04/2003.
We have 2 sons, ages 9 &5.
I am a RN and qualify for the $129/night rate
at the Swan/Dolphin Resort.
Which hotel should I book?
Any suggestions would be appriciated!
Thank you

Having stayed at both, I prefer the Dolphin!

The Dolphin seems more festive and has more of the conveniences I am looking for like Tubbi's, The Dolphin Fountain, Arcade and guest laundry. It also seems closer to the Grotto Pool.

The Swan is more refined and elegant, and being the smaller of the two resorts, is easier to navigate.

The Dolphin is more bright lights, big city with long winding corridors!

The Swan has queen size beds, the Dolphin doubles.

Do your research here on the DIS and base your decision on what would best suit your needs. Either resort is a good choice!

I love both, but find that Dolphin does have a few more conveniences on hand for us, including Tubbi's and the Ice Cream Shop down on the first floor. With my very young ones (2 and 9mos) having immediate access is important. However, the folks at Swan were very inventive at fulfilling needs, like a glass of milk or juice at odd times, and it is smaller and a little easier to find your way around. As for outdoor features, they share them, so it really makes no difference, and the boat dock is shared too. It might be a little shorter walk from Dolphin to EPCOT (via the Yacht/Beach walkway) than from Swan, but Swan is a little closer to MGM (although it may be a bit far for some to walk either way!)

Thanks Blondie and ahutton for your input!
I will certainly use the boards and do my homework!
