We went in May and stayed for 8 days at the Yacht Club. It was very nice but the room cost us a bundle compared to $135/night. We bought annual passes for the whole family figuring we would go back before 1 year was up. Now we are thinking maybe a smaller trip say 4-5 days at the end of Aug. I got an email promoting rooms at the Swan & Dolphin for $135 night. Are these tiny rooms in the bowels of the building with no windows or is this offer for real? We love the Yacht Club for the location and the pool. But I am thinking the Swan and Dolphin are right next door and it sounds like the Grotto pool is equally nice. We have a 4 year old who LOVES to swim. Please advise! Thank you:)

Hi,
I got the same offer (I think) mine said the Dolphin was $135 and the Swan was $20 more per night - $155. Still a great deal and the Swan is all rennovated so a new room with the new beds etc. They describe this as a limited view room. Maybe others can share their experiences with a limited view room.

The rooms are very nice but, yes, it means limited view. We had a limited view last summer at the Dolphin - it overlooked the roof of the convention center. However, we were up high and could look outward and see the CR on the horizon - we just didn't look down! We were on the 12th floor - CL which we got as a comp upgrade. The view didn't bother us - we used the room for sleeping/resting only. We loved being at a deluxe with such a terrific location for an unbeatable rate! We are going back this July and staying at the Swan b/c of the renovations and the view does not worry us. It all depends on how you feel about it.

The Dolphin/Swan are not like other hotels where they put you in the worst rooms with the worst views simply because all of their rooms are great! The amount of rooms that look over a 'bad area 'are so small that you are likely to get a nice view. You might get a room facing the Swan but without a balcony. It's all in how you ask at the front desk for an upgrade. Or even just ask for a certain area and 99% of the time they do everything possible to meet your requests!

My family has booked the $99 (now $129) teacher's rate and had a 4th floor room with a balcony looking at Yacht/Beach Club and EPCOT!!!!!

I'd jump on this offer and don't worry a THING about it!

Have a great time!

When you say "it's all in how you ask at the front desk for an upgrade", do you mean just be very nice? Or is there a specific area that you suggest a person to request? Is it better to request something in advance on their website? We booked standard view at the Swan and have already requested connecting rooms. I hate to ask for too much, since I got such a great rate. I really don't want a balcony. I'd be thrilled just not to be overlooking a dumpster!

We stayed at the Swan in Jan on the Gov't rate. ressie said "limited view". We on the third floor, in a newly renovated room. Corner room.....one window looked out at MGM's TOT and the other we could see the upper Epcot fireworks. Maybe they called it limited because we couldn't see the ground level fireworks...LOL.

We stayed at The Dolphin last week on a Hotwire $81.00 a nite reservation. We were given room 7001 which was on the 7th floor and looked out on The Boardwark to the right, Yacht and Beach Club to the left, and Epcot front and center. It was perfect! :D
