I've never had a mold issue at the Swolphin. As someone else stated, Pop is a motel. I couldn't stand it. It was so noisy it was impossible to sleep there.

Wow - I've always wanted to stay at the Swan or Dolphin, I think your in for a great vacation no matter where you end up! I have no doubt if your unhappy with the mold situation, they will take care of it immediately - don't even worry. You are in for a DELUXE vacation experience!!!!

I would pick the Swan over Pop Century any day! I'm sure you'll end up loving it. If for some reason you have a problem with the room, call the front desk and let it be known. Most reports I've read, from folks who visit the Swan/Dolphin, state that the hotel staff is quick to fix problems. I'm sure you can be relocated. Stop worrying!

We've always had lovely rooms at the Swan. We are savy travelers and have always enjoyed the Swan. No mold; in fact, the rooms have been delightful and the beds are great. The staff has always been attentive to our needs--even with a midnight check-in one year; three rooms (two connecting and the other next door); and other silly things. Relax and enjoy. This is a Westin resort--join Starwood and get some great points toward future stays.

This thread has made me feel better, too! I'm going to be at the Swan because I book too close to my trip to use Best Rate, and the Swan had the best deal I could find.

Could someone please explain the different views available? Should I stick with the cheapest, or is upgrading the view worth it?
