swan/dolphin what's available without reservations to eat

i thought the buffet would be fun one morning but now i see it requires a reservation. what restaurants dont need reservations at the 2 hotels? or i guess boardwalk ask well since i can walk there

also looking for lunch non reservations options at the 2 hotels.

You should always check OpenTable for reservations at the Swan and Dolphin as well. Only a certain percentage of their restaurants' availability is set aside for Disney's reservation system. I've seen day-of availability at most of their restaurants, perhaps with the exception of Shula's.

Il Mulino has a lounge/bar area that’s walk up only. During a stay a few months ago there weren’t any ADRs online but walk up was no issue. Shula’s also has a lounge/bar for walk ups. Both serve full menus.

If you haven't yet, download the Swan/Dolphin App when you click on the On Property option you can see what is open & available, as well as hours. Depending on when you go and the day of the week you might be able get in no problem, but might not. Check out the hours/days for The Fountain that might work well for lunch.

We tried the regular buffet not the character one at Garden Grove once a few years ago and it was awful. The options were limited and the food did not taste that great but can’t remember if it cost about the same or more as a Disney character breakfast.

@CynBeth some reports I've that I've read say the quality has been better at GG at Swan during the pandemic.

I know this isn't the most appropriate place to ask this question but it's really hard to ask mask questions without it turning into a debate and the thread getting locked.

Anyway, does anyone know how the new mask policy (having to wear the mask while being seated until your food arrives) is being enforced at S&D table service locations?
