I am thinking about doing a VR at the Swan/Dolphin in November 2011. I really wanted to do a DFTW, but even the Escape or Cruise package seems to be out of my price range. The main reason I wanted a DFTW was to get the Theme Park Photo Session, but oh well :sad2: So, I was wondering if anyone has any photos of their Swan/Dolphin ceremony. I am thinking of doing the ceremony and then a photo session at The Boardwalk. What outside vendors did you use? What was the price (approx.) of your ceremony? We may just do a private one with either no guests, or just a couple. Thanks for any help!!

I am having my VR in May at the Swan so do not yet have any photos to share I am afraid!!
My ceremony is at the West Courtyard in front of the beautiful fountain. I have booked just a basic package with JustMarry (who are the Swan's planners) and it is costing about $1500.00.
It includes
Venue with seating for my guests (nice wooden chairs with padded seats)
A waterstation set up for my guests at the ceremony site
The services of my planner to oversee everything and liaise with and co-ordinate vendors
A guaranteed back up ceremony location in case of rain
Use of a room to get ready in if required
Two bottles of champagne, one of sparkling cider and five bottles of orange juice
The services of two Swan employees to pour and serve champagne/drinks and cut and serve the cake (including all glasses, flatware and silverware)
I have researched and booked my own vendors for floral, cake, music, officiant and photography and have yet to arrange the two limos but I will probably have Karen (my planner) do this for me.
So far I have been delighted with the service I have received from JustMarry and Karen has been an angel.
I am sure they can help with your VR not matter how small (or big) it is.
HTH and happy planning

Wow. . .so exciting!! And $1500 for your package? That is a great price! I think I may just take the plunge and call for information to get the ball rolling (as much as I can for now). Congrats and good luck!!

I think I had better make it clear that the $1500 was for a basic package without the services from my outside vendors (floral, cake, musician, officiant and transport) are extra. I don't want to give you a false impression. I think the cost of the outside vendors will come to about $1700. Still a lot cheaper than a DFTW and I have had a lot more choice in things such as flowers and cake. I am also having two limos instead of one which is eliminating a lot of headaches with limos going back and forth.
You can have as much or as little as you want built in to your VR.

Yeah, I figured about the cost, but thanks for the clarification incase someone else read this and was unsure. :) But you're right, the cost a way less than the DFTW and I would like to have more control over my flowers, photographer, etc. :thumbsup2
