Swan / Dolphin on Hotwire

I can't access the site either. I am glad that someone sent this thread back up and hope that people start posting their success stories again!

Thanks to whoever bumped this thread up! I looked and looked for it this morning and couldn't find it! We're having to do some last minute switching around and it looks like I may need an inexpensive first night before going to OKW! I can't use the Swan or Dolphin as we have 5 adults, but the prices for the DTD resorts are looking pretty good!

Btw, I can't access that site either using the www icon, but it's working fine going through my saved list...

This is the same forum you're talking about, right?

Anyone gotten the swan or dolphin on hotwire lately? We were lucky enough to do so and now friends want to go at the same time and are hoping to be able to book the swan or dolphin through hotwire too. thanks

Hmmm ... interesting :). I just typed in my dates of 12/23-12/28 and a 4* hotel for $120 came up with the following:
* Resort
* Pool(s)
* Fitness Center
* Business Center
* Golf Nearby
* Tennis Nearby
* Spa Services
* Children's Activities
* Laundry Facilities (self-service)

Any ideas? Could this be the MOWC and not the S/D?

It's possible. Jim's site is down right now. But the amenities listed do not match previous winning Hotwire bids on the S/D. It could also be Gaylord Palms I suppose...

Robin,

That is almost what came up when I got the Swan for Oct. but after resort was restaurant(s), pool(s), then the rest of your list in order. Did you see restaurant(s)?

That was the Swan when I got it for $81.

Tracie

When I got the Swan I do not remember children's activities being included. Sherry

I don't think children's activity is on the swan amenities. I know it wasn't on my Dolphin reservation.

very helpful thread! I'm checking every day to try and get the S/D for dates in August. Has anyone else gotten August dates?

The Swan & Dolphin do have a children's activity camp. It's called camp Dolphin.

Just because the S/D has real Children's Activities doesn't mean that it will show up on HW as an amenity :(. FWIW, the hotel is gone now. I guess I was trying to see if the S/D added the "Resort" and "Children's Activities" to the known list of amenities or if this was another hotel. $120 was still too much fore me ... I'd book at $81, though!

Thanks everyone!

Has anyone now stayed at the hotels with their hotwire reservation? How did it work out?

Jim, is your website still available? Every time I click on the WWW link, it says that the domain is now available:( I was hoping to use your Hotwire info for our Oct. trip:D Maybe the URL is wrong on the link below or something? Thanks!

cpl100,
We stayed on a Hotwire ressie May 9-17th. Worked out great!! We called 5 days prior to arrrival and requested 2 queen beds and connecting rooms with another family we were traveling with. All requests were made!! The trip and the hotel were just wonderful. They WILL NOT upgrade you.....at check-in they made it clear we got a very low rate!! We still had a great view and everything was just perfect. If you have any specific questions just fire away!

cpl100, my DH and I stayed at the Swan on a Priceline reservation of $59/night May 9th-11th. We are SPG gold, and they upgraded us to a balcony king room (room 627) and allowed us to add Club privledges with points. I swear, it all depends on which CM you check in with! Their "policies" on upgrades are not consistant at all:eek:

So which ones are the "generous" CMs? Anyone in particular whose line I should get in?

Does the Dolphin have express checkout? I don't want to leave without paying my bill.

Maggie
