Hi - long time lurker first time poster.
We are AP holders and regular travellers to Disney from the UK (coming again in 4 weeks
) and will be coming over on the 27th Dec for our first Christmas / New Year visit.
We always stay off site in a villa as it suits us better, even though there are only 2 of us, but knowing how NYE is at the World, we have decided to stay on site for the night, to take advantage of EMH and also to ensure we get in a park. Now, I can't seem to book a hotel direct through Disney for a stay ending in 2014 but can book the Swan or Dolphin for a fairly decent rate.
Are they a good choice for NYE? Our plan currently would be to arrive very early and go straight to Epcot for opening, then when we can check in, go do that and then head over to HS about 5/6pm to see in the New Year.
It looks a good option as we can walk between to both parks from them and as it is for only one night a lot of the other benefits aren't really that important for us.
Does anyone have an opinion, any experiences or even a suggestion of a better alternative?
