'Morning, all!

Got up way before the crack of dawn on Friday, and got some shopping done. Please remind me that I will NEVER do WalMart on Black Friday ever again - it was too wild. Too many people, and about 15 minutes before the store opened, a riot nearly broke out, since some people had tried to form another line on the other side of the door. Ugh!! I like to go for "the thrill of the hunt", but this was too much to just save a couple of bucks. Though I did manage to bring home the bike and the fiber optic tree I went out for, which was good. The kids have been moaning about our Charlie Brown tree for the longest time, so I finally got a bigger one.

Speaking of bucks, and thrill of the hunt...congrats to Marie's family for their catches. I still don't think I could do it, as a matter of fact I had one of those hunting shows on the other day, and watched someone bring down a buck. I'm such a wimp I had to change the channel.

Enjoy the Swan, Dan...even though the rest of us are still in the cold, and are insanely jealous!

Msss...was just about to put you on the missing list with Poohsie! Good to see you.

Thanks to the gentlemen for being so chatty and keeping the thread running while the ladies were out shopping.

Hello to everyone. It's been awhile since I last posted. We were at WDW for 10 days during the Food & Wine Festival, then came home and had the flu (or a very bad cold) for two weeks. We saw SSB and had a great time having "drinks around the world". We think we freaked out SSB with our large family group of 13. The weather was perfect, although it did rain a bit. I'm missing all the Christmas decorations this year, but the F&WF was a great time of year to go. Already making plans to go back next year!

Life has just been so hectic lately....there aren't enough hours in the day.
Usually, it's busy enough with just school,home and work, but, now, we are trying to get ready for the holidays (got the outside decorations up, but nothing on the inside),trying to get Christmas shopping finished before we leave for WDW (haven't even begun to think about getting clothes or anything else ready for that trip) ,studying for finals at school, (and preparing for next quarter--got my schedule today), trying to get things ready for the trip itself and now, add doing competency testing at work (which consists of 6 written tests and then hands on testing in several areas)....

I need to be cloned. (but, how scary would that be???)

Oh and did I mention that I am kitten sitting for a friend of mine who had surgery?? She has two kittens about 11 or 12 weeks old. She had some pretty serious surgery and will not be able to care for them (or herself) for a while, so, here they are....smelly litter box and all.
They keep jumping up on my bed at all hours of the night while I'm trying to sleep and using me for a trampoline...or they "meow" to try to get me to play with them....or, they chase each other up and down the stairs, sounding like a herd of elephants....
Sleep??? What sleep????

Did I tell you that I am definitely NOT a cat person??? Never have been...never will be.

Hopefully after everything has settled down (And surely it will, soon....) I will be here more often.

Hi Mrs Milo....that time next year just might work for DH and I with DD in college hopefully.....hmmmmmmmmmm ...but I don't know if I can wait that long...and must consult with Avery as to timing on his first trip within the year too

We work up to an unexpected couple inches of the S-word this monring...the roads of course not as yet treated with anything, it is a skating rink from the White Moutnains all the way down to the Boston area I guess. UUGGHH

So now I'm freaking about DD driving to school for the first time in these conditions. time to bug her to get going earlier and to drive slower, use slow low gears, pump brakes to stop, leave room in front of her... Mommy the Nag must run now

i remember taking driver's ed...in the middle of winter...in des moines, iowa...i learned to drive in the snow! i don't mind driving in the snow...as long as the roads have been salted/sanded/whatever they do to them...sending a little extra pixie dust for your DD ann...

went to the house last night. we have carpet!!! and the correct counter top for the master bathroom is in now! they just have to install it. our appliances will be delivered and installed on thursday!! woo hoo!! don't know if they will be installed by the time we have our appointment or not...i'm crossing my fingers though!! based on the schedule...i'm aniticipating our closing to be on monday december 15.

It's 14 degrees here...wind chill of -2 degrees, yes that's MINUS 2. Hate to think of what it's like up pumba's way !!!

I wanna go to WDW. TC leaves tomorrow. Poohlovr's going and MS too and I WANNA GO!!!!! LOL But at the moment my sister (yes the one going to WDW this weekend ) wants to know if I want to do a New Year's Evev trip to San Francisco to see the BC/Colorado State Bowl game.hmmmmmmmm.....I've never been to the west coast.........told her to scope out the alumni association pkgs and I'll scope out Starwood

I am still sick but wanted to pop in and let you know I am still alive.
I have still been working while sick and I am so exhausted that when I get a spare minute I just lie down....this is horrible and coughing keeps me awake all night so I don't get much sleep.

yes Christine I am enjoying my malibu and I'm very warm in it too
I just use my remote starter from the house....have the temp set for whatever warm temp I prefer and use my heated seats....it is so wonderful not freezing in the car

as for Sue's.........

Good morning all!!! I heard Barry on the radio this morning and thought of Cookie so I had to stop by and say hi! We're not freezing in Texas, but it's not particularly warm either. For the holiday we did a crazy drive to Arizona and back. Passed through BT's neck of the woods but we didn't slow down long enough to waive. After 800 miles the little ones would have none of the stopping, we just needed to get home. Glad to see everyone is hanging in there.
