Just a warning to anyone out there wanting to use a combination of Marriott points and cash to book at the Swan or Dolphin. The cash portion of the reservation is the non-refundable room rate and you have to search really hard in the fine print to figure this out.
Don't make my mistake, I was just wanting to modify my reservation to remove a night and I wasn't allowed to get a refund for the night that was prepaid for. So if you want to book some nights on points and some on cash then I'd make it two separate reservations so you make sure you're not booking a prepaid rate. I like keeping the 5 day flexible cancellation and am pretty annoyed at this. Although the nightly rate I did pay was really good so I guess it events out?!
