Swan check-in Question...

I'm a 20 year old, who has booked the Swan for 3 nights in June. I'm able to
get the government rate, since I work at the IRS (Hahah..no jokes please..LMAO)
Now my question is, I've booked this on my Credit Card, and I've read they ask
for both the CC, and photo identification (License) at check-in. Will I have a
problem, with the fact that I am not 21? My brother will be staying with me. He
is 24, now if they have a problem with me NOT being 21, will they let HIM
check-in? I doubt they will still give us the Government Rate, or will they? Or
am I making a big deal out of nothing? I've stayed at many different hotels
previously, and have never had a problem. Maybe it's because I look older than
20, or maybe because I am a Government employee, I dunno. Another question, is
what's going on at the Dolphin from June 10-13th. There are absolutely no rooms
available. Do rooms open up, the closer to that date? I was able to get the
$129 rate only for the Swan, but I would love to rather stay at the Dolphin.
Any tips? Thanks!

At check-in they ask for an ID for proof of government employment not your driver's license. I doubt your age will even be on your govt id. I have even used paystubs in the past as proof because we don't have id's at my school.

I have the same rate for September (nurse rate), and I was told that they were only honoring that rate for that month at the Swan. It didn't appear from what I was told that anything major was going on at the Dolphin, only that they are choosing to use the Swan to honor those rates.

I am also booked under the government rate but for October. The website also showed no availability so I checked out dreamsunlimited and they showed avail. for Dolphin so I booked through them instead.

I put in your dates looks like they have avail. on June 12 13 14 but the 11th. is 195 vs. the 129 but you could book the Swan for that night then move over to the Dolphin. Also you should sign up for the Starwood Card and even with no stays or points you could get an upgrade to a great view! Good Luck!

No worries, you must be 18 by Florida law to check-in to a hotel. You will be asked for your cc and ID only if the agent thinks you are under 21.

The Dolphin probably has a large convention going on over those dates, which is why the discounted rate was not available.

Have fun!
