Hi Everyone

I am planning on getting married at either the Swan or Dolphin in oct 2005. Does anyone have any info they can share. I am trying to get Randy Chapman and SVTS

Hi and congrats! We are having our VR at the Swan in June. I can try to help you with any questions. Have you contacted Just Marry yet? We are using STVS for our video. I love Stan's work. Are you planning Crescent Terrace or the fountain for the ceremony? There are a few Swan brides here, so let us know your questions and we can probably answer them for you.

I'm also planning a wedding there for next October :wave2:

I was at the dolphin a few weeks ago and I got to see a wedding in action. The set-up was beautiful!

Just Marry is a great resource. They answered all my questions.

Congratulations :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I'd love to join this discussuon! I am also considering the Swan and Dolphin for a vow renewal (albeit in a few years) for 3 reasons:

1. We will probably have about 30 people. Spending 7500-10K MINIMUM on that size a party does not sit well with me.

2. My family is not as Disney obsessed as I. Many will want to stay offsite and see other Orlando attractions. I don't want any of them to have to stay in a Disney resort.

3. I am a teacher and if they still have teacher discounts at the Swan/Dolphin, I would like to stay there and be convenient to the ceremony.

I visited the Swan and Dolphin this past summer when I was at WDW. I walked from the International gate at Epcot to the Boat dock between the S/D, walked around a bit and took the boat the MGM. Where are the ceremony sites located? They are the East courtyard and crescent terrance, correct? If I checked out the right places, it seems like neither site is very private, and that it could get really noisy at the ceremony.

Well, to be honest, I haven't even been to the S/D yet! But from what I have heard, they try to keep people away during the ceremony, so it is not crowded with onlookers. But we are having ours at the East Courtyard and from what I have been told, it is a bit more secluded. I don't think we will be staying at the S/D since I was checking out their 2005 rates, and they are a bit out of our price range since we are spending quite a bit on the VR. We think we will be staying at POR since we stayed at POFQ this year and wandered around POR and liked it. We, too, did not really want to pay 7,500 to 10,000 for our VR so that is why we started to look at the Swan for the ceremony, since we will be having 20 people, which is over the intimate amount at Disney. I really love my coordinator at Just Marry, Michele. She has been incredible.

Thanks Everyone!!

Well so far i have contacted Just Marry and Michelle and I have been emailing back and forth for teh past week or so. I picked the Crescent Terrace but am not thrilled that i have to wait till 90 days prior to book.

We are only having about 20 guests and wont be having a reception there afterwards. We are prob. going to go to a restr in Disney.

We are going to stay at one of the Villas.

What are you guys adding to your packages.

I was just planning on getting the smallest package and adding on the tux rental, flowers and a musician.

I am trying to get Stan for vidoe and Randy for photography.

Those are the things I am going to splurge on money-wise.

Let me know what yall think!
