Hi,
I have have been lucky enough to have stopped in a few of the resort hotels in the past and I am now planning yet another trip to Disney, this time trying to arrange 14 nights in one of the above and was wondering if anyone could answer a query.
Basically I have just joined the Starwood Prefered Guest scheme to see if there are any special offers about and I came across discounts for government employees.
I believed this was purely for US workers but I have read somewhere that other Countries Governments may be eligable.
Is this the case?
I suppose that I could get in touch with Starwood but I thought that I would just like to ask the real people on the ground!
PS I love this form and wish I had found it before.
I will will now be looking for more valuable tips and hopefully pass a few on.
Kind regards

Here's the information that I think you're looking for:

Government Employee Discounts
Those eligible would be clients that work for the government, whether it is National, State or Local government. This includes firemen, police, and any other branch of the government be it national, state or local.

It also includes foreign governments as well.

Clients must have a valid government id or a Letter on official stationary from the supervisor along with a recent pay stub. You must present the id at check-in to qualify for the discounted rate.
Please note that proof of eligibility is required to receive any discount. Failure to produce such proof at check-in will result in hotel charging the full, regular rate for that room.

I can't post links because I don't have enough posts but the information is in the sticky thread for the Swan and Dolphin on the theme parks board.

Hi....... If you belong to the UK AA (automobile association) this is affiliated with the US AAA. Starwood will accept your card and you can book using AAA rates. Disney also accepts our card for room reservations as does the Universal onsite hotels. Hope this helps.
