I will be retiring April 1st and visiting WDW May 1st to celebrate. Will I still be able to get the teacher discount at Swan and Dolphin?

I know when I asked about what I needed for a nurse discount they told me my state license or a badge with my title from where I was employed. I am assuming you would still have similar items.

I'm also a teacher and just spent 2 nights at the Dolphin. We ended up getting a better rate using our AAA discount. Just offering the info! It's such a lovely resort!!

What percentage are the teacher discounts typically?

When we went the rack rate was $209 and we got the Swan at $179. The Dolphin was not available, but if I could have changed dates it would have been $159 ($189 rack) there.

This was on my wife's nurse discount, which I've been told is exactly the same as the teacher.

Pretty decent for presidents week I thought

I retired last May and we stayed at the Swan the following October. I was told to bring anything that connected me to the school system. I made a copy of my badge and brought some retirement papers. They barely looked at them.

I stayed at the Dolphin last summer and received a teacher rate of $159 per night. When I checked in they never even asked for identification.
