SWA drink coupons and Ebay

So what's up with me and Ebay and SWA drink coupons? I've ordered three times and have only gotten coupons from one seller. Has anyone else had bad luck like this? Should I have insured my purchases?

For the two sellers that have "stiffed" me so far, I e-mailed one a couple of weeks ago with no response yet and have just e-mailed the other tonight after winning a bid on 12/2 with no coupons yet or any contact from him.

I just want to be a happy flier and that won't be easy with four passengers and only one coupon book!

How much are these things going for on EBay?. Personally if I had your luck I would just buy my drinks! Your other option is to buy the books directly from SW.

I have purchased manySWA drink coupon books from sellers on Ebay and have never been stiffed. I have mainly purchased from one guy in Texas and have paid a VERY reasonable price, free shipping and they arrive in less than a week. I would, naturally, give a negative feedback on these sellers and definitely report them to EBAY, they take a dim view of seller ripping people off.

Well, I went and looked. Maybe it's just me, but.... I have to save enough to make the risk worthwhile and for a $10 coupon book I think I will just pass on the SW thing. (I did love the sales where you were bidding $300 for coupon book with a free RT ticket thrown in!)

I have yet to pay more than 5.00 for a coupon book. No charge for shipping. No risk, I read the feedback. Yep, I love the sales with the 300.00 drink coupons with that "free" ticket. Makes me laugh.

Oh, well, maybe they'll show up before my January trip. If not, I'll just sit on the plane and cry in my $3 full-priced beer as opposed to my $1.25 coupon beer .

I've bought several Ebay items over the years without any problem, and it just struck me odd that twice within a month I had trouble with the same item. Maybe I got bad sellers (although they had good ratings), maybe the post office lost them, or maybe I'm just not destined to "enjoy" my flights.

I have ordered literally hundreds of items from Ebay (in addition to Disney pins, I also collect comedy/tragedy mask and have bought enough to fill my diningroom walls). I have been VERY fortunate and have never been stiffed. The worst that happened was an item getting broken in the mail or not being in as good of a condition as the seller promised.
If the item was lost by the post office, the seller should at least contacr you to say they sent it. Whatever you do, be sure to leave bad feedback for them in addition to reporting them to Ebay! Some people are reluctant to do that, but that results in others getting stiffed by the same person, since they don't have any negative feedback.
Good luck...maybe you will eventually hear from them. Don't let it sour you on Ebay, but I do recommend sticking with sellers who let you use a charge card or Paypal. That way, you have some recourse. When I think of the number of money orders I sent to total strangers in the early days of Ebay, it makes me shudder!

Who is flying in December..you can have my coupons. Please post here, and then pm me, so that people will see when they are taken. There is enough for 4 mixed drinks, or 5 beers. Again..they expire Dec 31st..but if you pm me, I'll get them in the mail asap.

I have coupons that say they expire on 12/31/03 so I call SWA and talked to a CS Rep about my Jan flight. I asked if there was any way to get an extension on them and she asked another Rep who told her that they didn't expire anymore. You might want to call them just to confirm this if you are flying in the near future!!!

Mine have expiration dates on them. Wonder if they are going to disregard that.

I'd give SW Customer Service a call and ask. I'm going to do that after the first of the year just to make sure, even though they told me in early Nov. that they'd honor them.
