SWA August Ding Fares

Does anyone know when SWA will start Ding Fares for August travel?

I've been watching faithfully...none yet. I could be wrong...but I thought they came out around this time last year (according to DING Fare history thread)...

Not sure about Ding Fares, but my late Aug flights from BWi to MCO just went down $51 per person late last week or this weekend.

The SWA flights I've been watching (Thurs Aug 20 from TPA to BDL/Hartford) just went UP from $139 to 149 -- one way!!! This is ridiculous. I did manage to snag $78 o/w flights from BDL to TPA down... but so far, NO deals for our return flight. It's frustrating, yet I keep checking every day.

I would have booked Delta, who has $79 flights, but I have $250 in ticketless travel funds to use....

When I was thinking about it-I've since booked JetBlue-I figured that the DING for my dates (23Aug) would come out the beginning of July. In May, they seemed to be about 6 weeks out. HTH (Our flights went up, so that is when I booked JB. Not $59 flights, but I'm happy....and it's DONE!)

In the past I've noticed that good fares come out about 6 weeks from my travel date too. I'm at 7 weeks and getting impatient. Must breathe...

We are trying to find flights 8/21 to MCO, 8/29 to BDL and I can not believe the prices. It seems like everyone on the Dis is saying my flight went down to $XX. Where are the cheap deals for Bradley!! The flights I have been watching are $440 RT with Delta, lowest is $222 except it is a 5:30 am flight from Orlando which means 2:30 am pick up with ME YUCK!. SW is $152 one way, $139 the way back. I am being flexible in days and times too!!

My fear is that I'm going to miss the deals... we're going camping for two days next week and wouldn't it be my luck that my Ding fare comes on those two days...

I purchased $77 one-way SW flights from BWI to MCO on 8/19 last week thinking they may not go down any further. However, I'm still checking all day everyday day, and this morning all the 8/19 flights are $59! I changed my flights and now have a $30 credit. 8/24 has some $59 flights, but not for the times I would like to leave so I'm still waiting. Airtran's fares are back down to $49, so I may have to go with them for our return flight to BWI.

My fear is that my 45 day mark is coming up and I am paying for a vacation that I don't have a way to get to yet!! And since they start raising fares for the weekend tomorrow night or so, I think we are out of luck until next week.

We actually found a decent fare with Delta last Thursday. My husband finished putting in his credit card number and when he went to the next screen where you select seats, it came up with a message saying "sorry but this flight fare just went up to $359.00 RT." It took us less than 2 minutes to pick the flight and enter the credit card info and they changed the fare on us. Because of that, I am trying hard to stay away from Delta. Their current fares are making that really easy though.

You are lucky, $59 flights would be GREAT. I was hoping for $106, come on SW!!! I was hoping that with the 38th birthday specials BDL would get an some sort of offer but it appears that they increased the prices instead.

I am really hoping for a Ding fare from ISP to MCO for 8/21-8/27....cmon DING!!! Some very nice neighbors gave us a week stay at BCV for FREE....now all I need is a good airfare and we are set....fingers crossed

Checked today TPA to BDL and on Tues and Weds there are $76 flights. But we're flying on a Thursday! So I looked into MCO to BDL on Weds, and there was one flight $79 but it was at 8:20am in the morning.

Oh, and the Ding fares that I saw today went into August. That's a good sign at least!

I'm going to look at our schedule and see what we can do. But I still think there's more fares coming... gotta stay positive...

I saw those $79 flights. We called Disney this morning to see if we can move our days a bit to try to snag those fares but there was no availability ANYWHERE except Port Orleans-Riverside.

We decided from now on we are traveling Tuesdays to Wednesdays instead of Fridays to Saturdays. Keep good thoughts about those dings!! And please don't let the airfare go up again over the weekend because after last weekends increase, it never went down again!!

Well, I'm done. I was able to get all my flights for $49 and looking at the recent Ding offerings I don't think I'm going to get a better deal.

I finally booked out flights home -- $79 seats from MCO to BDL on Weds Aug 19th. It leaves at 10:50am but the later flight was $280 more. So, we decided that it wasn't worth it for 5-6 more hours in FL.
