SW to personalize Dings!

I just got a message from Southwest that starting 7/3, they will be sending out personalized Dings. I had to go to the registration section and could add up to 10 airports for which I'd like to receive "Dings."

I'm crossing my fingers that given the 7/3 date, maybe this means flights will SOON be extended!

I just got this too. Does this mean I will only get Dings from the 10 airports I put on my list? I would rather keep getting all of them. I look at all of the Dings and sometimes that will help decide where my daughter and I go for Irish dance competitions. I don't want to be limited to 10 cities.

I don't think you will be limited to the city pairs. I think you will get Dings from *all* the cities that you selected. I selected Chicago, Orlando and Tampa. It'll be nice to not have to see all the fares from cities I'm not interested in!

I tried to update my airports, but it would not work. I am sure its a user error here but I dont know what I am doing wrong.

Orlando (favorite travel site)
San Diego (sisters home)
Phoenix (near Tuscon)
Providence (close to boston-son#2 college)

Waiting patiently (LOL) for thanksgiving flights.

I may add three more cities

I found it! just my luck that I posted and then found it right away.. I was searching all over the SW site and could not find it, but it was right on my ding window lol

It is NOT on my ding window. I'm wondering if this is another time when the Mac users will not get this option for a while since they haven't done the upgrade to the software that works on the Mac.

It's in the DING drop-down menu, under Update Registration.

I am not sure I read this correctly, please tell me if I am wrong. I thought what they were asking us to do was to choose the airports we fly out of or may fly out of to see the specials for them instead of seeing all the airports listed. I did not think that it meant to choose the destinations we would like which seems to be what some folks are doing.Am I wrong? Thanks for asny help!

Yes, that's how I think it will work. I added Orlando and Tampa for kicks so I can see how many Ding!s are going into those cities.

I also added only my home airport. I took it to mean that it will enter ALL flights to/from the airport you add, so when I add my home airport I will see all the places I can go from there on a Ding fare.

Not sure if this matters, but you can display only your departure city already. Just click on Departure city and pull down your city. All the DINGS will disappear except for the one for the particular city you want. I do it for Louisville then Orlando and Tampa.

I do that, too.... and what I really wish SWA would let you customize are the flight pairs that you're interested it, not just the departure airports. But, this is better than nothing, LOL! .

Strange, I was able to update my airports here at home, but not on my laptop.

I live near PHL so I added Baltimore, wanted to add DC Regan which is under Washington and it is not on the list. Also, wanted to add NYC Lagurdia also not on the list. Anyone else having trouble with airports?
