SW rapid rewards points ? about rebooking flight

I thought I had read somewhere that if I use my points to buy flights and then can't go I can get them back into my account to use later. Is this true?

Yes. In fact, I got about 5,000 points returned to my account last week when the points required went down for our return flight.

With LUV vouchers, is the expiration date the date you book the tickets or must travel be complete before the expirtation date? Thanks

Well, I'm mad at myself b/c spring break flights were really low on Friday and I didn't book. I didn't want to commit to dates and I was afraid I wouldn't get the points back. I could have gotten 4 round trip flights w/ my 50,000 pts. I was really sick that night and just didn't care. I thought they'd be there over the weekend but the rates went way up. Not sure if they will come down.
