SW online check-in, do I need a printer?

I will be booking my flights on SW soon but had a concern. I really don't want to pay the $10 EBCI per ticket unless I need to. However, I will not have access to a printer at the 24 hr mark before my flight (and may not even have access to the internet either!). I'll be traveling home from another short trip that day. I may be able to check in online if I can get a Wifi somewhere. I will be have both internet and printer available around the 19 hour mark.

When you check in online at the 24 hr mark, do you have to print out boarding passes then? Or could I go back in later and print them out? That would make a difference if I have internet access at 24 hr (but won't have the printer).

Also, if I don't check in until like 19 hours before, will I get an awful number?

I'll be the only adult traveling with my 7 and 9 year olds. They are very comfortable flying so it's OK if we are not right next to each other. I'd want to be able to sit wihtin a row or two of them though. If that is unlikely, I'd pay the extra $30 for the peace of mind.

Also, can you do ECBI for one way, but not the roundtrip? Since we'll be using the ME, I understand Disney would do the return at 24 hrs (so I could at least save that $30).

Any advice you can give is very welcome!!

Thanks,
Kim

Yes, you can checkin and then print out your boarding passes later, at the airport. BUT..if you wait until 19 hrs before flight departure, you are going to risk getting a high B or even a C boarding group. You may very well be split up from at least one child. The possibility of not finding three seats together is much higher with the high B, and C groups.
You can do EBCI just one way...that's no problem. I would spend the $30 for EBCI for your trip down to Orlando. And I would get EBCI added to the reservation sooner, rather than later, since EBCI boarding numbers are assigned in order of booking..those who paid for EBCI sooner, will get lower group numbers.

If you have internet on your phone you can use mobile check in. The nprint tickets later.
Are you sure ME is going to check you in at 24hr mark. We had to do it ourselves. We had to go to the front desk area and have them check us in. They did not do automatic. They may have changed this but double check.

Thoughts -
1) Depending on your cell provider you maybe able to add internet for the month (AT&T=$10) that way you can check yourself in at 24hr and save $20.
or
2) Is there someone else that can check you in at 24hr since you can print your tickets later?

Disney DOES NOT check you in coming back. Don't know where you got this info but it is wrong! You can check YOURSELF in while at Disney at any resort desk or Guest Services in the parks but it does not happen automatically, you have to go do it. So, if you are looking for a service like EBCI from Disney, it's not there! If you want to be checked in automatically, you have to pay for EBCI.

As to the printer issue, you do not need a printer when you check in. You can print the boarding passes at the airport or when you get home so you just need internet access at the 24 hr mark. Hope this helps!

If you have Verizon, you can enable internet for 24 hours for $2.

When you are at WDW you can go to Guest Services 24 hours prior to your flight at any park or the concierge at your hotel and they well check you in. It will not be done for you automatically. It's very easy...I do this every time I go to WDW :goodvibes

Thanks for all the replies!! I feel better now that I can check in as long as I have the internet access!

For some reason, I thought that Disney did do the check-ins at 24 hrs for SW.

Glad to know now that I will need to go have them do it at the 24 hr mark!

Thanks again!
