I've been stalking SW and Jetblue for plane tickets from Austin or San Antonio to Orlando for a month now... is it normal for SW to sell tickets at a lower price to solo flyers than for multiple?? I noticed this morning that a flight I was looking at one-way was $119 for one ticket but that same flight was $137 per ticket for a party of 5.

Part of that might be because there are only so many tickets at a particular price. So five might bump up the price. That's why
I book separate tickets for myself and my husband. Sometimes when I go to rebook a flight there is only one remaining ticket at that lower price.

This poster is correct. One of the recommendations when using Southwest is to book all flights separately and as one-ways if you plan to continue to check prices to see if flights go down. This makes it easier to rebook.

One time when I was booking for 3, there were 2 flights at $99 and the third was $129. I booked the 2 and waited on the 3rd and sure enough a few days later the price dropped back to $99. Now it also could have continued to go up but I was pretty familiar with this flight and time of year and had a sneaky suspicion that waiting would benefit us. YMMV
