Decent fares for flights through 8/24 and the "Internet Special" category is back.

For example, yesterday my one-way flight on 8/18 from Hartford to Orlando was $170, today it's $117. Still not the lowest, but happy to see the move downwards instead of up (again).

Another WAHOO to SWA! Got a $59 one-way to MCO for May!

I made out as well - Changed my $109 flight in May to an earlier time, and only paid $69.

Now, I've got a $40 credit!

Thanks, my fare went from the original $79 to $69 each way. I've now got my first SWA credit for furture use!!! It's only $20.00 but it feels great to play the credits/change flights/rapid rewards game with SWA.

We got our return flight (six of us) to Nashville on June 2 for $59 but our flight going down is still unavailable for the internet special. Will have to watch closely for May 25.

No sale out of Dulles! The fare was $102 EACH way yesterday and today it dropped to $100 EACH way -- why bother? (BWI is still high too) This is for August.

Exactly!! We're going 8/12-8/21 Hartford-Orlando and although I think it'll go down to $79 each way, I locked in the internet-fare of $117 for the flights we wanted (1st non-stop going down and last non-stop coming home). $1K for the 4 of us I can live with even in the unlikely event this is as low as Hartford goes.

I've been soooo tense playing chicken with SW, and it finally paid off!! Just got $69 from PVD to MCO in May, yest. it was $160

So glad to see good fares for June from St. Louis. I wanted to use credit before it expired and for the two of us, ended up having to charge $8.00 new money.

Yesterday was at $176 each way! This morning at $79. Needed to change my dates somewhat to get the $79. At least we have something booked and if different times or dates open, can change.

Now to find some sort of discount for hotel!

Yes, I do. For our airport (Hartford) the Spring Sale fares were $79 each way. We're going in August, and I did lock in today's fare just in case ($117 each way, which is high, but beter than the previous $158-$170 each way), but do truly think that at least the legs offered in the Spring Sale will be offered in a closer-to-summer "Summer Sale." Check your airport's spring fare for a gauge, and here's some pixie dust.

Could you add a day to your trip? I've been finding cheapo motels for $30, and we're actually extending our trip a day rather than losing our last whole day there.

I have done it. I don't recommend it. You have to get up at Dark-thirty and drag the kids out of bed and drag down to the bus stop. The good part is that the security line is VERY short.
