Have never flown SW before but are using them to go down next Tues. We have a connection in St. Louis and only have about 25 min from our arrival in Stl Louis until our departure time. There is a lot of talk about checking in early to get an A seating time, but are we just out of luck for the connecting flight since boarding will probably already be going on or done by the time we get to the gate? If we cant all sit together I can live with that as long as either my wife or I can sit with our 5 yr old. Our older kids (17 & 13) will be fine sitting by themselves. Thanks.

I have the same thing- a 25 min layover in St Louis. People on this board have assured me we'll be fine. St Louis is a small airport and, from the map, it looks like all of Southwest's flights are together.
We're traveling with a 2 yr old, so I'm sure at least one of us will be able to sit with him. Kind of makes the EBCI I got for 6 of us useless though, unless our plane lands early so that we can be at the connecting flight in time to board.
One tip I got was to let the FA on our flight know about out tight lay-over. Since we do have EBCI, I plan on us all sitting up front so that we can get off of our flrst leg ASAP.
