One boarding pass per ticket.
One check-in per ticket.
I would like to know this too. We have a party of 8 travelling for the first time on SW. All 8 tickets are under the same confirmation number.
Travelling with us is my elderly mother with severe spinal stenosis (who is way too stubborn and proud to use a wheelchair, but has horrible balance and can't walk very well) and two children with disabilities. We would like to maximize our chances of getting A boarding passes so that we can at least seat one of the others with our three special needs travellers.
And although we could probably qualify for early boarding - our 3 special needs travellers with three companions and then the two other little kids, I really don't want to be the ones standing in pre boarding area with 8 people!!

Also, it really is not that necessary as we can manage the disabilities. And we don't mind sitting behind the wing or farther back in the plane. We will all end up in the same place anyway
Will I need to fire up all the laptops and desktops to do our 8 checkins at one time, or do you check in once for the confirmation number and it will then check in the entire party under that number?
We travel quite a bit, so do know about the one boarding pass per person, so I am assuming that if the checkin is by confirmation number that the computer will generate a separate boarding pass for each person under that number.
If the checkin is by person, then it is a moot point, we will get a boarding pass with each check in.
Thanks OP for bringing this question up. I had assumed check-in would be by confirmation number, but now you have me wondering.
Thanks in advance for the help!
