Suspicious credit card logins

I just logged into one of my accounts and noticed I last logged in at 11:45 last night. I was sound asleep then. So I called and they told me that was CT (I was still sound asleep). I changed my password. Then I logged into another account. It was also accessed last night at 10:45PM (ET I assume). I'm 100% certain I was sound asleep. Anybody have any ideas how this could happen? I'm changing my passwords but it's just odd. To my knowledge nobody but me has my passwords.

Maybe you are a sleepwalker? People do things in their sleep sometimes. My DD used to get up and go downstairs and open the refrigerator.

Double check the times. Does the site show the current time now as you know it? I have found sites show all sorts of times that may seem bizarre to you. In fact this DIS site uses Greenwich Mean Time I believe. So you may assume it is your current time zone being used, but it might not be.

I called the first company and they said it was central time. I check my accounts most mornings while I'm exercising. It's just weird and I'm probably being paranoid

Do you use mint.com or another budgeting/tracking software? I have noticed different login times and I think they are due to mint.com pulling info.

We notice this very frequently with our chase cards. The first time we noticed it (also in the middle of the night), the chase rep suggested we change the account number and sent us new cards. But it happens with all our chase accounts frequently and we have changed the passwords many times. Not sure if we should be concerned so we just keep a close eye on the accounts.

My brother in law has a Chase Disney Visa that he has not used since 2013. My sister got an e-mail yesterday that Abercrombie was shipping a $206 order to her and had her home address on it. the e-mail came from a Centurylink account in FL and the telephone number on it was bogus. Neither sis or BIL ordered from Abercrombie. When she called them they indicated that the order number on the e-mail was bogus and not even the correct number sequence for their orders. Nothing pending on line for that credit card. BIL called Chase and they closed the account and reissued card; they did not see any activity on the card. The e-mail only had the last 4 digits of the credit card# and did match the card #.

Anyone else ever had something like that happen?

Yup, Quicken, Mint and similar will log-in and "screen scrape". Undoubtedly, this is what is going on for OP.

They (credit card company) asked me that too. I downloaded mint once but I didn't think I ever set it up. I've never used it. But I'll need to check. But I don't use any financial software (I just have a master excel file).

11:45 Central is 12:45 Eastern - so those logins were two hours apart.

I realized that later I'm wondering if the 10:45 was mountain time??? I guess I won't know. I changed my passwords and I'll keep track of last logins. Probably being silly worrying about this

No, you're not. I'm certainly paranoid when it comes to my bank/credit card charges, and times, and everything...

You should glance down through your purchase/debit history. Not all fraudulent changes are for huge amounts. I just read an article that said many hackers are making small charges that they think no one will notice. Small as in the $1-$5 range, so you overlook them. I'd look back through to make sure all your charges are yours!

And if you're still worried, just call back and explain your concerns. I'm sure they'll send a new card if you want them to!

One was a Chase card and the other was a Citicard.

I'm trying to give him the benefit of the doubt lately But I don't think he ever had the usernames or passwords. The thought did cross my mind though.

Changing your password keeps MINT or any other financial software from accessing your accounts and doing screen scraping.
