Sushi?

I hate Sushi but DH, DS10 and DD6 say California Grill has Fabu sushi................and they are very picky!

I've heard good things about Wolfgang Puck's in DTD, and we enjoyed the sushi at Mitsukoshi Teppanyaki at Epcot in Japan. And Calilfornia Grill.

Is there some place other than a table service where you can get a roll or two? Isn't there some place in Japan - WS - Epcot?

The CS in Japan has one roll on the menu:

Sushi Tokyo Roll - Avocado, cucumber, crab meat and smelt roe reverse rolled in sushi rice and seaweed. - $6.99

Boy, having the menus open on my other computer is coming in handy this morning! (I'm reading the DIS on this computer and double checking menus and working on my spreadsheet on the laptop next to me!! :rotfl: Yeah, I'm a little obsessed, but cut me some slack - I'm in the middle of making ADRs this week).

I would rate Kimono's the best, then Pucks then CG.

Have to wait til Japan's restaurants reopen. I had them 4th on my list, maybe they will move up.

Where is the best place to get sushi at WDW? Kimono's is too expensive, so where else?

Both California Grill and Wolfgang's are about the same cost as Kimono's. If you're fine with elementary sushi, fresh, but nothing fancy, Yakatori, the CS in Japan has very reasonable sushi (their Tempura Udon is pretty good, too). This is the CS that's up on the hill, opposite Teppanyaki. If the weather is nice, it's lovely to sit outdoors; the tables overlook their Japanese gardens and koi ponds. :goodvibes

Whenever we go, we always see many Japanese tourists eating there, so I'm guessing that it's "authentic" enough for them. :confused3

Definitely California Grill. DH and I love Sushi and eat it quite often, CG is one of the best we have ever had. Here are a couple of pics:

If you find Kimonos prices high, you will blanch upon viewing the California Grill prices. Both have good sushi; Kimonos is a bit more classic, while CG is more inventive. Your other option is the grocery store sushi at the Publix - good sushi is just expensive, and you won't find it for much less than the Kimonos prices, at least not in this area.

Cheers!

I really like Sushi but I never get it at WDW, only because I always worry about how it will affect my stomic on a 100 degree day while riding test track.
