We have chosen to eat at California Grill & Wolfgang Puck's Cafe partially because we love the sushi at both places.
DS(16) usually orders a deluxe sushi sampler at both places as his appetizer - Has anyone else done this on the dining plan? Would that count as an appetizer?
Also, I noticed on the literature that WPC has a surcharge on certain items. Does anyone know which items they charge this extra fee for?
Just curious......

you can get the sushi at California Grill and have it covered under the dining plan. Any of the first three sections of the menu -- flatbreads, other appetizers, or sushi -- can count as a "starter" on the dining plan. Then you still get your entree and a dessert. I will be honest in saying that I think the "signature" restaurant thing -- where it costs you two credits -- is a rip-off. There just isn't that much difference in price between many sigs. and a TS place like Le Cellier. However, for a sushi eater at California Grill, I'll make the exception. If you are a sushi eater, and you have the appetite to order a big plate of sushi followed by your entree and your dessert, then yes, I think the two TS credits are worth it.
He'll do the same at any restaurant he has free reign at.
