My husband's pick is Rachel. I'm not sure who is coming out ahead for me yet, but she has a slight lead.

Rachel grew on me, at this point I wouldn't mind if she won especially with her being able to maintain things up her sleeve. I hope she chooses to keep a bit more to herself in the future because she could really surprise them all if she does, playing on the fact that she has shared some things but not all things with other players.

Spy music and swipe across cut screens, who'd ever think the production team at Survivor would implement them.
This story arc they have built for Andy is so interesting. I mean, they guy must be very smart with numbers, big picture problems etc because he is a AI/linguistics research assistant (notice his use of IPA written under Caroline's name). I can't help but wonder if his past lack of social game will catch up with him and make him a no vote finalist. The jury last night was captioned saying "That was Andy" and "Andy flipped again" soooo idk if that part of his game will bite him in the butt.
I cannot wait to see what happens with Rachel! She is also such a smart player, I hope she uses her idol and block-a-vote in an exciting way.

That was an epic blindside last night!! I almost jumped out of my chair. The plan the three of them put together was brilliant and executed to perfection. Andy has really built himself up into a force in the game. I couldn't stand him at first and was surprised when he survived the first vote. Now it will be interesting to see if he can sustain it and not get blindsided. Andy and Rachel have really broken this game down to an analytical chess match but Genovieve is also very strategic. Finale night should be one of the best in recent seasons!!

Andy's growing on me. They keep saying he's a flip-flopper, and they're not wrong, but...when you're in an alliance of 4 or 5, it can only take you so far. And you have to have some clue if you're low man in that alliance--if things go sideways ("wrong" person wins immunity), then you're expendable. So, knowing when to jump ship is an important skill.

Sue looked crushed last night. I don't know why she and Teeny think they have mad Survivor skills--I'm not seeing it. If either makes it to the end, it will only be to be the goat. What have they done, exactly? Especially compared to, say, Rachel (who I'm pulling for).

I think they are showing us all that Andy did because, while he may make it to the end, I'm not sure the other contestants realize how intentional his actions are. He's trying to keep a target off of his back, but it will come down to whether he can sell all that he has done to the jury. Rachel, on the other hand, is seen as a threat. Other contestants don't know about her idol. When (if) she plays it, that will add more to her resume.

I think you are right. On one hand flipping around could be considered savvy game play but it seems to me most players put a higher priority on loyalty

I think how far Andy goes is going to depend on Rachel and how she uses her block a vote. Right now she's holding all the cards along with her idol. Her and Sue have idols that the remaining players don't know about.

I think Andy will be in the final three. They show so much of him that I don't think he will end up on the jury.

What a fabulous blindside! We’re pulling for Rachael! I think she sees the bigger game afoot. Teeny and Sue are playing a very emotional game, teeny rant was embarrassing. Those rewards are always a “damned if you do” type thing. Sam made a smart move taking Andy. Why on earth would he ever pick Sue or Teeny. And for heavens sake Sue, get in the water!!! I’ll bet her house is a borders paradise.

In another note, DH and I think contestants bags should be private property and no one should be able to go through someone else’s bag, ever. I think it’s crappy.

Well that plan actually worked out! I always get nervous when players have some grand plan but this one was even more nail biting.

I think they should have gone Sue or Teeny out both of them are players who can't see beyond themselves. Interesting that Sue didn't use her idol on Caroline like she said she would, not totally surprising but why offer and then back out, at least the edit didn't make it sound like Caroline nudged her to say it.

It seems to depend on how they present themselves to the jury and if they actually were instrumental in big plays and if so can they effectively explain that. Flip flopping just to flip flop and have nothing to show for it seems to be when the jury doesn't give the player a second look at actually being their pick for the winner. The vindictive players left on the jury neither of those will matter

Agreed and Sam is just kinda along for whatever ride keeps him in the game. He did play a role in the blindside playing his part but at least the edit isn't showing him being that deep thinker about how this play could lead to that and that play could lead to that.

Same...both of them are taking out players they don't like or at least gunning for players they don't like that is not actually having strategy it's just who is annoying you most this day.

But I will give Teeny one point (even though she's starting to annoy me) the other players aren't necessarily wanting to listen to her game plan like she couldn't get words really in when she was talking to Andy (I think it was him) which is fueling her anger at other players and even though I don't like how she's getting so personal it must be frustrating when you're not seen as someone whose opinion matters to people you're in an alliance with or ones who say they want to work with you. Sol had that earlier on with Rome. Sol took a lot of that with much more grace than Teeny though.

Carolyn is a great strategic player. Her exit interviews lend a lot of insight into why Sue was dirty, why Teeny was upset, and why she let Andy have the split vote as his big play.

I'm pretty sure it was Sierra who was captioned as saying Andy flipped again (or something like that)
which, like everything, was done by the editors/production for a reason.
Maybe this does become Andy's gameplay strategy narrative in the final 3 and how he presents the rational for why he flipped the times he did and possibly even does again moving forward.
Or it's a red herring for people like me who dive waaaay too deep LOL!
