I am and I’m not. While he was irritating and full of himself he was also entertaining. So glad Rome is gone!
I found zero entertainment value with Rome. He was just so cringy to listen to. And asking Jeff for a hug on his way out. Ugh.I am and I’m not. While he was irritating and full of himself he was also entertaining.
That makes sense. My daughter pointed out that the cringy way Rome talks/behaves is VERY popular with late teens and early twenty year olds on YouTube, TikTok etc and that he is an ESports commentator so he does have a fan base that might want to see him be chaotic.
That makes sense.
I’m clearly not his target market. lol.
Never watch the show but we were visiting friends who are big fans so it was on. The host is annoying with his constant chatter and always making things sound so overly dramatic. The person voted off was annoying, rude, self-absorbed and acted like he had pulled the wool over everyone else and thought none of them had caught on. Show always seems the same to me, everyone acts like they are all buddies when it is a competition, so in reality they are just scheming against each other. That new show Summit seems like the mountain version of Survivor............LOL.

Don't watch it regularly, but whenever I see the previews or the few times I have watched while visiting friends, it always seems the same to me.
I agree but it doesn't take away from his lack of self awareness and way of interacting with other people because that has impacted contestants over the years and various ages.My daughter pointed out that the cringy way Rome talks/behaves is VERY popular with late teens and early twenty year olds on YouTube, TikTok etc and that he is an ESports commentator so he does have a fan base that might want to see him be chaotic.
That confuses me too. I haven't seen the seasons go through monsoons like years ago so if they aren't having fire for days it's because they are inept at making one or don't even try to make one.I am just amazed after all these years that they do not know how to tend a fire. Plus they do not need a flint to start one.
It seems like that's what they've (meaning players) have determined is part of the "new era" of survivor. I liked it more when they were more strategic about it but they almost view it as "this is what nice players do and I want to see like a nice player soooo"..,but there's telling who you need to because your gameplay relies on it or you've found yourself needing to curry favor and then there's doing it for no other reason than you want to be that peaceful team that just tells it all and holds little back. And why for the love of all things do they keep telling everyone that they have an advantage!

I so felt bad for Sol and I'm guessing that he wasn't always as composed in his interaction with Rome as the edit reflected but just to be able to hold that much composure enough times was amazing. To be talked to like Rome talked to Sol was just gross. Thanks for saving me the time looking up Rome's interview sounds like I'd be shaking my head the whole time lol.100% this!
I listen to a podcast that discusses and dissects the game play each week and they feature an interview with each player that is voted out on Thursday.
I couldn't make it through more than 5 minutes of Rome, he was so out of it and blamed what happened on others rather than owing his actions.
Exactly. I like watching people play the game and the harder they paly it's more enjoyable for me to watch!! Eye rollers and floaters bore the hell out of me.I agree but it doesn't take away from his lack of self awareness and way of interacting with other people because that has impacted contestants over the years and various ages.
I feel like from viewers there's chaotic and then there's eye rolling. And just about every season there's a player that is eye rolling. I like seeing players that play, but no amount of play can make me enjoy watching them if they are eye rolling. Public opinion seems to follow that too when it comes to players each season, the one that makes you roll your eyes often isn't the person you admire their gameplay at least it seems that way.
