Survivor Thailand! (Possible Spoilers)

lilboo,I think you misunderstood me,or I didn't express myself correctly.I meant I would like to see Shi Ann mixed in with members from the other tribe strictly for game purposes.I like her and would like to see her make it to the end.I am also rooting for the blonde guy on chewing gum.I think a great final 4 would be those two with Big Ted and possibly Helen.

Ah Yes! The Blonde Guy Used car salesman on ChewyGum. I like him. A voice of reason in the midst of all that Drama (didn't Vescepia used to say that - "Too much Drama" - all the time?).

I really hope Shii Ann makes it to the end as well! I have her and Ken picked for a Survivor Pool I am in! :) I am so glad lazy boy is gone now...what a waste of space he was! Stephanie or Robb is next, I hope...I can't stand either one of them!

As for Chuay Ghan, I am really starting to not like Ghandia and I hope she is voted out next for their tribe! It will be so interesting when the tribes mix! I can't wait! :)

I am so glad that Ghuay Ghan won both challenges!! Yay!! :)

I thought Clay was right on with his comments - Ghandia acted like such a child to scream out like that. I will give her that she was frustrated with the situation, but they're on an island, playing this game - the others probably thought she was being attacked by a wild animal or something. I'm glad Ted decided to call everyone together and talk about it openly - that just diffused the whispering in the background that would have gone on and on otherwise.

Sooo disappointed that doofus Robb didn't get voted off - just his mouth alone was reason enough. Being cute, young and strong isn't gonna be enough for their team - someone needs a brain!!

I have mixed feelings about Ted & Ghandia.
First, I think she was totally wrong to "tattle" on him to the other girls but then OMIT the part that he had sincerely apologized to her. Then her tantrum really made me think she was an idiot.

BUT...I also wonder, what was Ted thinking??? I would never in my life cuddle up with a stranger in my sleep "mistakenly" thinking it was my spouse!! And while Ghandia seems upset about him nibbling on her shoulder, Ted ADMITS that he was "grinding" into her. When he said that I was wishing my young teenager wasn't in the room!! To me that's way more intimate than shoulder-nibbling. (Sorry if I'm making the discussion too graphic). The whole Ted-Ghandia thing made me uncomfortable all the way around!!
I say "Bye Bye" to them both!!!

YAY for Chewing Gum!!!!!!!! Sooooo glad to see them win both the reward and immunity challenges!

Sook Jai really messed up the reward one. So anxious to get another win that they stepped on their own feet......sillies! Poor Clay!! JEESH!!!! Then after Jeff told Robb he was out of the attack area, Robb flipped the bird and was yelling at Clay. SOMEONE NEEDED PROZAC AS THEIR LUXURY ITEM!!!!!!!!!!

The whole thing with Ghandia and Ted was ridiculous! She made it seem like when she talked to him that everything was fine and then she badmouths him to everyone. Was that some sort of strategy?? Gimme a break! I am glad Ted took the initiative to set things straight with the whole tribe there, although, judging from the previews, it doesn't make a difference in their relationship.

I was a little sad to see Jed go.

No, you expressed yourself perfectly! What a one-track mind...

Okay, now that I can get to the computer... my thoughts... :)

Someone asked if anyone felt duped by the previews -- nope, it was pretty much as I expected. :)

After this episode I'm liking Ted more and Ghandia less. Yes, Ted was wrong to be as close to Ghandia as he was, but I can believe his story, and he did seem to be sincere in his apology. He also handled it in a much more mature fashion than Ghandia did. I think of Ted as the "gentle giant" who has a problem controling his unconscious urges. I really don't think he would have consciously done something like that.

As for Ghandia's "tantrum"... I'd much rather she get her frustrations out by attacking a fallen tree and throwing rocks in the water than by taking it out on other people or, just as badly, bottling it up and allowing her anger to fester and destroy the whole team. Now that may happen anyway, but if her method of relieving frustration works for her -- hey, sometimes a good scream helps. And she did at least move away from the others a bit before getting out her frustrations.

Now, the reward challenge... I just DIED laughing at the stupidity of the anxious young brats. And Jeff's frustration was pretty obvious when he had to call out what, half the team? LOL! Go ChewingGum! I loved how Ted tackled the challenge of knocking others out of the way in the combat zone. And who was it that was strangling Clay? That guy needs to be taken out of the game entirely for the way he was going after Clay. Granted the idea was to knock people off the bamboo with physical force, but since when did physical force in a game include putting your hands around someone's neck??? I hope Jeff seriously investigated that action and considered disqualifying the strangler (that was Robb, wasn't it?). I also loved Shii Ann's look when she was challenged by Ted. Poor girl, and the "I'm sorry, but I have to do this" kind of look Ted gave Shii Ann was very kind. And the reward was very cool! I'm sure they learned a LOT from that experience! I hope someone had a journal and was able to take notes...

Jed losing the net... Hah! Serves them right! And I love how the camera men knew right where it was and showed that it wasn't that far out. Did they just not think of taking the boat and rowing out to see if they could find the net farther out? Is their boat even still functioning? I really hope the camera men or someone retrieved the net after it got "out of bounds" so it didn't hurt anything.

The immunity challenge -- okay, am I the only one who has ever done the "Towers of Babel" (or whatever variation you want) game before? That's very obviously what this challenge was only instead of three poles to slide the rings over, it was three platforms. I loved Shii Ann's comment about how she and someone else who knew the puzzle could have stepped in and said something but chose not to because they wanted to get rid of someone.

As for the votes... I'm not counting Shii Ann out of the game yet. I hope she goes far, and have a feeling she'll make it to the merge. I sure hope I'm right!

My prediction for who's going to win... If my theory is right, it will be a male and probably not Ted. If the winner is female, it'll be Shii Ann. Ted will make it to the merge, Ghandia won't... I'm going to guess the merge will be Shii Ann, Ted, Helen, the "voice of reason" (whatsisname), Clay, Robb, the old guy on SookJai, Jan, and two others from Sook Jai, but I haven't gotten the feel for the other players yet -- I'm thinking whoever was holding the Immunity Idol -- was Penny her name? Stephanie will be one of the next to go.

Now... let's see how wrong I am! :teeth:

I have a story about this.... I was staying at my mother's apartment (my brother was living there and sleeping on the couch) Their routine was she had the bed (which she was sharing with me while I was there) and in the morning she would wake him up and he would move into the bed....

The next thing I know.... I have my arms around him and I am cooing...... I was sound asleep and thought I was home with my hunny........ I woke up to him jumping across the room.......I never saw my brother move so fast! ROFL

I thought Ghandia was a pig for going around and telling everyone and NOT saying the part where he said he was sorry.... plus her accounts of what happened kept getting more and more involved.......

I dont like her......

I was amazed at the people who voted for ShiAnne - they don't want anyone with brains. Robb was so cawkie (I know that's not how you spell it - I just don't want to offend the sensors!) about thinking the majority wanted ShiAnne gone - I wish he'd been shot down. Robb was so far out of line during the immunity - choking! I thought it was funny how his teammates were smirking at him when he was saying "I'm not being a bad sport!". I would have thought they'd get rid of him first. The only reason they kept Robb is because he works harder.

I'll weigh in on the Ghandia/Ted thing too. I thought it was horrible, but Ted apologized and I thought after they discussed it it was over - I wish it had been. I think it's good Ted got it all out in the open with everyone present. I don't think Ghandia "asked for it" but I do think she needs to admit to having a small role in it. I wouldn't be comfortable cuddling while sleeping with another man - heck, I'd be afraid of what I'd do in my sleep! I do feel very bad for her that she is having to work through this and also feelings about her past rape on national tv. They will both have some explaining to do to their spouses when they get home, IMO.

It seemed like they kept showing Stephanie (I think that's who it was - I'm still not clear on their names) sleeping on the beach. I noticed she voted with Jed and Robb - I wonder what they'll be saying next week.

This show has been pretty action packed. It seems like we're not hearing much about food etc. I'd love to see more on the discrepancies between what the tribes are eating. They've never really shown how SJ prepares their snails - yuck!

Well...I totally agreed with Sook Jai, I
m pretty sure they wish they could have
voted out 2 people-robb being the 2nd.
All in good time.

I'm wondering about Ghandia and her claim
to innocence. she was talking about how she
loved to cuddle with Ted and that he was taking
the place of her husband out there because
she missed him so much. Then she says SHE
feels used by Ted's advances. Asleep or not-
Ted could have been testing the water and
following through to see if she was interested.
At his first move-she should have said no-I'm
pretty sure he would have gone back to sleep
and ended it right there. She allows him to pull
her close, she allows him to rub up against her,
she allows him to bite her shoulder and caress
her in other parts of her body-THEN she rolls
over and stops him. These are grownups, not
children. She's laying all over him, using him
as a surrogate husband and accepts no
responsibility in the incident. Man-I'd vote
her sweet cheeks off the island so fast-she's
a confused woman and her kind of drama will
poison the tribe. Ted has privately and publicly
apologized. I wouldn't want to be in either one
of their households this morning!
I would have liked to see more of the Red Berets
and less of Ghandia's injured sensibilities.
She's stupid!

Plus every chance she had, she was hugging or touching him AND kissed him after he apologized! At the end, I hear Ted saying he's staying a far away from Ghandia as physically possible...let's hope he learned his lesson.

I dislike Robb but I agree with everyone he is the comic relief to the televised world. I wonder if he looks at himself now and thinks...am I that big of an idiot. He's 23 but acts 13.

I like Brian too. He wanted to hear BOTH sides of the Ted/Ghandia story.

I like Shii Ann and Jake. I felt sorry for Jake and that blister.

Okay - Ghandia blew things way out of proportion. She is so two-faced for talking with Ted, accepting his apology, and then turning around and trying to get everyone else "against him." And omitting the most important part of the story..... that was just blatantly mean and spiteful. I would have smacked her had I been on her tribe. As a collective tribe, I would've been the one feeling "used." Ted was very correct in immediately gathering the tribe and telling them the whole story... rumors just aren't needed in a situation like that. People are so quick to judge a man for his actions, but I can actually understand what happened.
Imagine - you are in a remote locale, lacking some nutrition, and you have a woman with whom you've developed a kindred closeness. In the middle of the night, when you are sleeping and obviously "out of it..." maybe you are dreaming about your wife back home, and your body begins to dream along with you. It can happen, and he apologized for it when Ghandia took issue with it. To me, it should be a non-issue for the rest of the game.
And Robb... dear, dear Robb. He moans and complains about losing the Reward Challange, but then says he's, "not a sore loser." Ummm, hello? Go play with your skateboard, sore loser. And did anyone else hear Jed proclaiming that "somebody who was supposed to be on watch" for the net was sleeping and let it drift away? So was it him, as everyone else claimed, or was he trying to blame somebody else? I think the reason he didn't contribute more to the tribe was because he didn't like his tribe. When he wanted to get food, Robb whined about it. That probably set the tone for Jed as to how it was going to be with that tribe.
I so wished that Robb would have gone, but I think some of the tribe sees him as someone who is a strong (physically) competitor and could help them get to the merge. But for me, there's only so much of Skater Boy that I would be able to take before I would have to smack him.
The Reward Challange signified to me how childish Sook Jai is. They didn't work as a team, didn't pay attention to the rules, and paid the consequences. Then griped about having to pay the consequences. I wish Jeff would give Shii Ann a "Go To Chuey Gahn" pass immediately. She needs to be among those with brains.
Can't wait till next week!

Jed was on The Early Show today. Jane Clayson is gone and I have to get used to this new interviewer and slightly different format. Seemed a little less planned out to what he would be asked, more spontaneous, especially in the end when there were bunch of CBC people sitting with him and they wasted time saying "You go ahead and ask" and then "no, no, nevermind, YOU ask your question" and then it was "Oops, we're out of time!"

Anyway, IMO Jed has kinda a blah personality. Oh, he's nice enough and certainly very cute but something is lacking. He just kept focusing on how he, Robb, and Stephanie were the food providers while the others built the shelter. CONTRADICTION!! Robb yelled at Shii Ann for wanting to get food and was obsessed with building shelter. Interviewer never brought that up. (I wonder how close they watch the show?)

Interviewer asked him if he never slept in the shelter because of guilt in not helping build it (she was incorrect, he did use shelter to sleep under that night it rained). Jed replied that he did not sleep there because the shelter was very uncomfortable.

He felt they needed nourishment more than shelter and he wanted to save his energy for challenges. He said the Immunity Challenge at the end it was just him, Robb and Stef doing all the work and they were exhausted.

Looking back, he did say you can always say I should have done this or that but he said he went in there being true to himself and this way he won't have any regrets of playing the game and blaming any outcome because he was NOT himself.

He and Stef and Robb bonded well. His luxury item was a frisbee on which he wrote bible versus his family gave him inside it. He would use his quiet time in the morning to read them and refresh himself and also prior to challenges.

He said Robb was a really nice guy!

He did take blame for the losing the net although he says they turned the watch over to Jake and someone else. When questioned then why did the rest of the team blame him, he said because since he and Robb took it out, people think they should have brought it back in and again he sorta accepted the responsibility for the loss.

(On the CBC site this a.m. I watched a video which was not aired last night of Penney saying how Robb wanted to bring the net in and tried to wake Jed up but Jed said that he was sleeping and wouldn't get up).

That's all I can think of for now.

I too am dissapointed with Ghandia's actions. Ted apologized and she accepted it and then she kept hugging him and kissing him! And the part where she says she was hard on him and said everything BUT the part where he apologized, GIVE ME A BREAK! That was nasty!

I LOVED the part where they had the confrontation and he said he wasn't even attracted to her. The look on her face was priceless! I think that clinched it for her that she wasn't going to let this go. It is only going to get uglier. I unfortunately think though that Ted will go first. The girls who are all banding with Ghandia don't know of the sincere apology. It was mentioned, but in the fight, it didn't sound like it was understood what passed between them to the others. I just hope they see that they need his strength to keep winning. He was awesome in the reward challenge.

Does anyone know how the vote went at Tribal Council? My recording cut off just before it showed how everyone voted.

I remember that ShiiAnn got 3 votes, one of which was from Jed. I don't remember who else voted for her, but everyone who didn't vote for ShiiAnn voted for Jed.

Uh, he did. I very distinctly remember seeing Jake's sign say JED, not ShiiAnn, and I could have sworn one of the other girls (Penny?) voted for ShiiAnn instead of all guys.
