A travesty. That's really the only word for it. Wait, here's another one: A joke. You could also go with absurd, ridiculous, lame. I'm going to make sure that I am absolutely clear about this: Natalie winning over Russell is the worst jury vote in the history of Survivor. That honor previously belonged to the All-Stars season, when a bunch of bitter Bettys couldn't handle being outsmarted by Boston Rob and awarded the million dollars to Amber instead. But this is worse.

You may not like Russell. You may consider him cocky, sneaky, and lots of other things. But he OWNED this game, and he owned the final Tribal Council as well. Natalie's opening speech to the jury contained NOT ONE SINGLE REFERENCE to anything she did well in the entire game, just that it was ''the hardest thing I've ever done.'' Hey, hand her the million then! Later, she talked about how her big strategy was to NOT be aggressive. That was her strategy!!! Don't do anything. Again, hand her the million!

Look, Natalie seems like an absolute sweetheart. I have nothing against her whatsoever. I hope she enjoys the money and uses it well. The jury members are the people who should be ashamed. And don't give me any of this baloney about the social game. Todd in China blindsided and betrayed and went to the final Tribal Council owning every single move he did. You know how that jury responded? They respected it and handed him a million dollars. Not this time. There is no WAY any of those players can honestly think Natalie played a better game than Russell. They can say they liked her better and would rather give her the million dollars. But no way can they say that she played a better game, no matter what crazy Erik says. And let me make something clear: You may have been rooting for Natalie because you liked her better (And that's fine. I get that.) but if you are voting, and you take that job seriously, you have to put that aside and vote for the best player. Any way you slice it, Natalie was not the best player. Jeff Probst tried his best at the reunion to paint her as a worthy winner, starting off by prompting her to talk about her key move of helping get rid of Erik, and then going out of his way to jumpstart a conversation about how much better her social game was than Russell's, but even he seemed half-hearted in his attempts. Probst knows a dud winner when he sees one. He won't ever say it, but if you read between the lines, you can tell.....

It's only speculation on my part...cause I can't for the life of me figure out why a grown man would be acting so poorly for losing A GAME. Everyone else lost too.

Everyone else deserved to lose! No one else played such a terrific game. If John had been in the final 3, I could say he was worthy. But even he was outplayed by Russell.

The new Survivor begins Feb 11th. The game has to be finished already and in editing.

I am fairly certain I read that they had wrapped things up and left right before the tsunami hit. That was months ago.

I am thinking Russell knew this was his one shot to win. Maybe not though.

Unfortunately, if Russell is on the next season he will probably be one of the first to be voted off. His type of games only works the first time through.

Ah, but if they filmed Heroes/Villians right after Samoa, none of the others had seen any of Russell's shenanigans - he's an unknown to them.

But they're sticking him on a team full of connivers just like him. I can't imagine they won't figure him out real quick.

Correct. No one had seen his game play yet. BUT that may also cause them to vote him out early, "the unknown" villian.

Yes they were sore losers. I've never seen such a collective group as worthless as the one sitting behind Russell this season. No intelligence, No street savvy, no personality, no nothing.

Not IMHO...Russel was just SUCH good tv. Of course they'd show him. They hardly showed anyone else....maybe Shambo.

I want to be clear. I just wanted Russel to LOSE. I could care less who else won. I don't necessarily think Natalie should've won or played a better game. I just wantd Russel taken down a peg and I would wager the jry might have felt the same way too. Russel lost my sympathy the day he emptied canteens and burned socks.

EXACTLY! That's why they HAD to show us her whisper "I don't trust Erik" and they had to show us her bopping the rat on the head. They knew we'd need SOME reason to think she was worthy.

I know that yesterday I said that I'd be happy with whomever won out of the Final 5... and I am glad that it was a Foa Foa... but man...Russell got robbed!!

I haven't been able to check since my last post and the few Russel supporters were saying that he outwit, outplayed and outlasted ... he wasn't the sole survivor, so he didn't outlast. He did outplay, but he didn't outwit.

Understand, we only see about 20 minutes in a 24 hour day. Natalie was probably talking to the Galus to try to figure out where they were coming from and what their mindset was. Russel should have spent more time GENUINELY talking to Galu members to figure out how they would vote in the jury much earlier in the game as Natalie obviously had already done. Russel was played by Natalie. He was outwitted by her because he thought she was no threat to him. That's the only reason he "brought her" to the finals with him. Well Russel, look who got blindsided just like you blindsided everyone else!!

Eric was one of the best players in the game and he was voted off. No one was complaining then because it was "part of the game." Well, knowing your jury is also a part of the game and Russel obviously didn't know his jury at all. Otherwise he would have been more humble at tribal council and could have given credit to some of his tribe members who helped him as well. Russel didn't do it on his own just like no Survivor does it on their own. So this coat tail talk is BS. Mick winning immunity, Natalie getting rid of Eric, Russel finding hidden immunity idols, etc. all kept Russel, Mick, and Natalie in the game. Russel was so full of himself and busy staring at his reflection in the water that he didn't realize that he was helped into the finals by others as well.

As someone else said, we will all have to agree to disagree. I thoroughly enjoyed this season of survivor and can't wait for 20.
