I'm a little confused as to why all of you think Russ got booted early on Heroes vs. Villains. He was upset because he lost to Natalie, an inferior competitor. That is all. It has nothing, nada to do with Heroes vs. Villains season. I'm actually surprised Russ was able to handle it as well as he did.

It's only speculation on my part...cause I can't for the life of me figure out why a grown man would be acting so poorly for losing A GAME. Everyone else lost too.

The vote against Russell was a vote for the losers to vindicate themselves for being taken in. Russell outplayed everyone. This vote was based on the losers being able to tell Russell that he outplayed them, but they were not going to allow him to keep his reward. America spoke, and Russell won. This was a case of how society really works today, the producers and the just give me crowd. Split right down the middle. "Sorry Yet?"

Although I don't really think Natalie deserved to win, I can see why she did....Russell LIED to almost everyone on the jury, promising to take them to the end etc. etc. That would be enough to piss me off. Then add to the fact that he already was a millionaire, perhaps the jury felt that someone other then him needed the money. Yes Russell played a great game, and was fun to watch, I just wouldn't have voted for him because of all of his lies.
Perhaps Survivor should have open voting like American Idol and combine it with the jury (some sort of % maybe) since we see all that goes on and the jury doesn't.

I haven't read all the responses, but I honestly don't think Nat had a chance until Erik said his piece. I think that's what swayed some of the others, because pretty early on, the jury was pretty hard on Nat.

It would be great if we could vote and have 1 vote in with the jury votes.

Though I have been rooting for Russell all season I was so sad last night when Brett lost that final immunity. He really had a chance to stand out the past couple of weeks and I enjoyed watching him.

What was the breakdown of all 9 jury votes?

I sure did...but at least I'm not getting all teary eyed about it. Or trying to buy titles from the winner. And from the looks of it, neither were any of the other players who lost America's vote.

on Mick too. He didn't do anything outstanding but he was a nice guy. The past couple of seasons seems like the jury is getting increasingly nastier. What was up with Kelly's face while she was questioning them? Could it have been more twisted up?

Money had nothing to do with the voting. Did you miss the part with Jaison? All 3 of them had great jobs and make good money. Did you not hear Russell? The man has struggled his whole damn life and finally did something he was good at and succeeded at. I'm damn proud of the man!

Russell might have outwitted the others, but Nat outplayed him in the social game.

They did it with Big Brother this past season. It happened because one of the players intended for the jury was removed from the game so they needed the extra vote. I think it would add a cool aspect to game for viewers. I know we didn't see everything but I doubt it would have changed my beliefs significantly.

Well, I think we shall all have to agree to disagree.
We all have very strong feelings and definite opinions, and we are not going to be able to make eachother change our minds.

I believe, and always will believe, that Russell played a wonderful strategic game, but that he neglected the social aspect of the game. He didn't take time to get to know his fellow castaways (instead always calling them idiots and misfits etc). If he had, like Natalie, he might have been able to tailor the social end of the game to make people like and support him. In the end, his lack of social gameplay was his downfall, IMHO.

It has been another great season, and I can't wait for Season 20 to begin! I will be watching the boards for someone to start up a new thread as soon as the cast list is released. See you all then!

I agree. However, I do like idea of a Best Player Award chosen by the fans.
