Like Russell and thinking Russell is a great player is 2 different things.

He has had more control than any other player, this season or past many of the past ones. I can't remember a time tribes merged and the smaller one didn't get picked off one by one. But Russell managed to turn that around this time and meanwhile the rest of Foa Foa is still there with him.

I think the preview for next week is misleading and trying to make you think that they are scheming against Russell. In reality, I think that they were talking about Shambo. It's the only thing that makes sense. She IS a snake. Both sides "played with the snake" aka Shambo and the snake could "come back to bite."

He's a pig and I love to hate him!! It's like he's not even real. My husband keeps telling me, 'you know this guy has been scripted, right?'

e.t.a. if Russell is REALLY smart, he'll take Shambo to the final two.

I think happy likes getting in heated debates about obvious facts. She was doing the same thing in the Tiger Woods thread saying that he would lose all his endorsement deals which obviously is not going to happen.

Just because you feel that is the greatest player in the game. Doesn't mean I have to agree with you. It's only a fact in your head. It think it crazy you want to force your views on me. If you like Russel that is fine, I don't like him END OF STORY

What Makes Him Evil: Welcome to Apocalypse Aiga, where Colonel Hantz has taken over. That would be Russell Hantz, a wealthy Texas oilman who's bad to the bone. Blue-eyed and bald, his resemblance to Marlon Brando's Colonel Kurtz in 'Apocalypse Now' doesn't stop there. Like Kurtz, Hantz has everyone wondering: Is he a deity -- or the devil himself? He requires no sleep, has an uncanny read on players' weaknesses, and finds immunity idols with nary a clue. He's not under the radar, he IS the radar. In his spare time, Russell is cackling for the cameras, pledging in his Southfork drawl that he'll take the title, even though he's the last man who needs cash. After all, whether it's oil or attitude, crude can pay big.

nah I think they were talking about Russell but they can't really go against him next week. They don't have the numbers. It's 5-3 right now but Shambo may jump sides creating a 4-4 tie. I don't think this will happen but it could. If she doesn't, and they vote off Russell, it will be 4-3. And that's a bit too close for comfort in case someone tries to get sneaky. I think most likely Dave is gone in the end.

Anyone thinking Brett has a chance to win this? Possibly the most boring Survivor player in history but doing an amazing job of staying under the radar.

I think Russell is the best villan since Richard Hatch.

He just reads people very well - he seems to have had a strategy in place when he came to the game, and is playing as he planned.

I also think his financial status makes it a little easier to "play" - he's playing to PLAY, and he wants to win, but it's not like $1M will buy him a house or anything - make sense? On a smaller scale, it's like the people who don't "have" to work but do - they are typically happier (or so it seems!) than the rest of us.

I think next week will focus on the "Wrath of Shambo". She will be furious with everyone for not only ignoring her wish to vote out Jeff, but not letting her in with the switch. She is not diplomatic, and hence will probably let it all hang out.

As such, I think next week we will see Shambo exit left, chased by a bear.

I think so too, he can win over Shambo.

DH was telling me the exact same thing about Russ being scripted, maybe you never know. But he is in control of the game, no doubt. He managed to cut the 'power' of Galu when they voted Eric, it was a downfall after that, and foa foa still standing.

Also why nobody else is looking for the idol? They don't know for sure if Russel has it.

Yes Brett is boring but that's a good thing at this point.

Shambo is getting annoying with her attitude, she would be there as long as Russell is there and as long as he needs her.

So to clarify, your saying his behaviour is one of the worst of all the survivor's???

If you think he is a bad player, why? That is what I'm trying to understand.
