~ SURVIVOR Samoa ~ Season 19 ~

I think I'm tuning out this year, or at least until Russell is gone. I just don't find it entertaining to watch an evil psycho "Johnny Fairplay wannabe" on my TV.

SANTA MONICA, Calif., Sept. 16 -- GSN (Game Show Network) announced today the return of its most popular original series--THE NEWLYWED GAME. The second season of THE NEWLYWED GAME, hosted by Carnie Wilson, will premiere on Monday, October 12 and air weekdays at 6:00pm ET.

THE NEWLYWED GAME is GSN's modern installment of the classic series showcasing three newly married couples of wide-ranging backgrounds who face off in a series of question rounds. During each round, a spouse attempts to guess his or her mate's answer to questions about their relationship, ranging from the first time they met to the details of their love lives. At the end of the game, the couple with the most correct matches wins exciting prizes.

The new season of THE NEWLYWED GAME will feature appearances by a number of celebrity couples, including: George Takei ("Star Trek") and his spouse, businessman Brad Altman; Davy Jones of The Monkees and his brand-new wife, Telemundo actress Jessica Pacheco; dance pros Edyta Sliwinska and Alec Mazo ("Dancing with the Stars"); former Denver Broncos linebacker Glenn Cadrez and his wife, Playmate Brande Roderick; Greg Vaughan ("General Hospital") and his actress-model wife Touriya Haoud; Christopher Knight ("The Brady Bunch") and Adrianne Curry ("America's Next Top Model"); husband-and-wife team Damien Gurganious and Nicole Brewer ("The Biggest Loser"); Jonny Fairplay ("Survivor") and Michelle Deighton ("America's Next Top Model"); "Biggest Loser" couple Suzy Preston and Matt Hoover; Lauri Waring and George Peterson ("Real Housewives of Orange County"); Kristy Swanson and Lloyd Eisler ("Skating with Celebrities"); Erik Huffman and Jaime Dugan ("Survivor: China"); and Ronn Moss ("The Bold and the Beautiful") and Devin DeVasquez (actress-model and former Playboy Playmate).

Early favorite at my house continues to be Betsy. She is from a nearby town so we were partial to her even before last night. Shambo could go quite a ways in the game.

Russell is obviously this season's obnoxious loudmouth. He could be the next one to go and it wouldn't upset me in the least. But I think they will keep him around for a while just because of his physical strength.

It;s going to be hard to watch this season. Russel is just so over the top that it's not even "train-wreck" fun to watch him. He's just a donkey-butt.

The moment Russell called the blond girls dumb....I hated him. When he poured out everyone's water and burned Jaison's sock....I wanted him gone. I hated that they showed so much of him, and didn't focus at all on some of the others. He's a short, fat, ugly little weasel of a human being. I hope they catch on to him quick and vote his butt out.

I like Jaison (the good swimmer), and Shambo...some we haven't seen enough of to make a decision.

My husband and I agreed, he looks like a troll (minus the hair).

And Marisa should've called Russell out at tribal. She should've said you made an alliance with me, and then I saw you talking one on one with everybody else, so how many others were you lying to and saying you had an alliance with?

I think she didn't call him on it because she believed they still had an alliance and she wouldn't be voted out.

In the interview Russell says that he runs a ‘tankering service”. He does not own an oil business; rather, I imagine he has a trucking business in which he delivers gasoline to service stations.

Since Russell is a liar, he probably has lied about his money, business, everything.

:thumbsup2 I agree. 'Cause if he had money, he would have had to buy himself some manners to be respected in the world of big business.

I guess it was due to the editing, but I didn't get why the others didn't seem to question each other about why their canteens were empty. They just showed them all being puzzled about it, and him with that poop-eating grin on his face. They had to know it was one of their own people who did it, right? It's not like some jungle headhunter crept into the camp and emptied their canteens. :confused3

What a disappointment last night's season opener was. :sad2: I don't know....maybe it was the whole Russell thing, but it just seemed way too over the top ridiculous for me.

And I LOVE Survivor...It's my second-favorite show of all time. Blah... maybe next week will be better.

Ok, just almost spit iced tea all over the monitor!!! :lmao:

I'm with you.

I'm not a giant Survivor fan. My husband is more into it. Since it is on our TV, I end up watching most of it...which is fine (I don't dislike it). After last night's show, I told my husband that I won't be watching again until, "the ******* is gone." He wasn't remotely entertaining...just plain annoying and stupid.

I'm with a couple of the other posters...I will not watch until Russell is gone. I did not enjoy the show because of his antics...he just made me sick, the sociopath.

Is it going to re-air. I missed it and didn't DVR it :(

They don't re-air the episodes. You can wait for the recap show they air around Thanksgiving. Or you can just go to CBS.com and watch the full episode there.

I thought she was going to there for just a minute. It looked like the thought crossed her mind and then she chose not to.

We really don't know if she did or not. I read somewhere a long time ago, that tribal council usually takes 2-3 hours. A LOT can be said in 2-3 hours, and it is edited down to the 15 minutes.

OMG!! I think Russell is worth watching--he's done more in one episode then all the rest of the past Survivors have combined!

He has hit on everything--sympathy for supposedly losing "his home", "dog", he's a hero(firefighter), dumping water, burning socks, can manipulate all the players. However, he'd better watch out for Betsy cause she might be on to at least some of his antics.

Not crazy how he used Katrina but then Johnny Fairplay used his Grandma or the fact that he's a multi-millionaire and doesn't even need the money. Hopefully he's around for a bit to stir up trouble--just glad I'm not on Survivor with him because he's a definite game player.

I have watched every episode of survivor & have loved the show. there have been past 'little' sabotages that have not bothered me. but what Russell is doing is really turning me off . my opinion is it really is disgusting  , putting the health of others in the tribe jeopardy ( no water & even a lost pair of socks could cause foot sores that might not heal).
I am truly deciding if I will even watch the rest of the season.

I agree with you. I guess it wasn't against the rules to do that but it was so dirty and low handed it was disgusting to watch him after that.

I was truly hoping they caught on to him and kicked him out.
