~ SURVIVOR Samoa ~ Season 19 ~

It amazes me season after season as I watch the first show to see exactly what the contestants are wearing as they will wear those items the entire 39 days. I have no plans to ever be on Survivor but I think every season as I am watching the show just what pieces of clothing I would wear if I were on the show!!!

RUSSELL = I am so thinking that his team members will be on to him SOONER than later. ::yes:: Yup, they are not stupid, they will figure out as each other talks to each other that Russell is a SNAKE and needs to go. :headache: Wait until they find out (probably at this point on the Finale as Survivor shows footage from the season) what a LIAR he is!!! :headache:

I could never be on survivor but I if I ever were I would be much more prepared than some of these people. I mean how many times do they have to see people on the show literally dropped of in the middle of no where wearing what clothes they wore on the plane!?!

It almost looks like CBS tells them to dress for a media event - which is why some of the girls are all dressed up. I cannot think of one good reason to wear heels to play this game in.:scared1::rotfl:

I read somewhere that they are told or given what to wear. That would explain why some were in yellow and some had purple, the tribe colours.

I think if Russell would have done thing a little bit at a time, and NOT burn someones socks he would have been received a little better. But he is just so FULL of himself. He is control of everything in his life, his family, his friends, and his business.

They seem to do that every season now. You would think that the contestants would realize this and wear clothes and shoes that would be suitable in the jungle - even if you are going to a supposed media event. I would rather be dressed down for a media event then to be overdressed for over 30 days in the jungle. I think I would throw on an extra pair of socks or 2 and even a few extra pairs of undies - ewwww - imagine wearing the same undies for 39 days or whatever it is???? :scared1:

:thumbsup2
My thoughts exactly. I would rather look "bad" at a supposed media event and be some what comfortable in my clothes for 39 days then the reverse.

Not a Russel fan.
I just thought it was funny, how Russel told everyone to vote out Marisa,
and they acted like "whew" it's not my donkey butt,
and agreed with him.
I'm sure it will only take a week
for people to start thinking for themselves.

Well thankfully it wasn't the "Russell hour" like last week but this week uncovered a person just as horrible - Ben. What an awful human being. I can't believe what he did when casting his vote at tribal council.

Sorry for the person who was sent home. One of my favorites.

i don't understand why betty betsy what's her name was sent home - the other guy was removed due to medical and that should have been the one out this week.

wasn't that how they've done it in the past

I'm not saying that Jasmine wasn't out of line the ENTIRE visit to Foa Foa, but BEn is a racist douche-bag.

That's what I thought too. I told my daughter "well they won't be going to tribal council now I bet".

I think because of the whole "twist" of having Yasmin attend tribal, they had to still hold it. Sorry to see Betsy go.

I'm not a huge fan of Russell, but I thought his idea of hunting for the immunity idol in the camp was really smart. And it really made me think--they have to either do a better job of hiding it, or stop having it every single round of "Survivor". But, OTOH, it's clear that Russell knows how the game is played, which is more than I can say for some contestants they get.

Ben's an idiot, but his tribe has to stop being sheeple if they want to be around for very long.

And over in the other camp--how stupid is Shambo to go "fishing", laze around, and lose part of the snorkel mask? Here, let me use some of this warpaint to put a target on my back...

What I don't get about Shambo is why would she go into the mucky water to laze around and get clean when the water in the ocean would have cleaned her off? Why not put the stuff to the side before you go in the water? or take it back to the others and let them have a try? She was clearly not thinking and will definately have a target on her back now.

I wondered why they still went to tribal council also, but didn't even think about Yasmine. Good thinking BuzznBelle's mom!

I totally missed when Russell found the immunity idol. How did that come about?

They contestants are not allowed to choose what they wear, the producers do that. They give them all (including undies) the clothes they are allowed to wear. A couple of years ago, one lady was complaining they didn't even give her a bra.

OK, when they medically evacuated Mike, I said to myself "Hmm, it seems like they have a medical evacuation every season now." Just something that peaked my interest, as to maybe these things are kind of "scripted" in. (Mike would probably go along with it if they greased his palms a little)

Then, they still had the tribal council, that made me scratch my head. Until, I realized they started out with 20 survivors this year. That makes me think even more that Mike's medical condition may have been fabricated. Survivor still needs to run the same amount of weeks all the previous Survivors have run. That's why in the past, if someone left the game other than at TC, they cancelled TC.

Looks like Jaison figures things out pretty quick. The preview says 'it's Jaison or Russell next week.' I hope they get that puke Russell out of the game because he's not even fun to watch in his dirty underwear and sinister, sociopathic smirk. I hope those 'dumb girls' are watching and learning as they see who he really was from the beginning. His story about Katrina and his dog was so far fetched that two people questioned it immediately...gotta be something wrong with the rest of them. Did they not SEE Johnny Rotten?

I just don't see the medivac being staged but it's possible of course. They woulda been taking me outta there in a heliambulance had I been in that challenge. It was really physical!! AND if you're not allowed to intentionally trip in a challenge...why are they allowing the burning of socks, pouring out of water and general intentional mayhem of Russell?

You would think that, but I think they (for once) planned for that.

How many times in the past did people leave for medical injuries, or just leave because they couldn't handle the game anymore?

This season was the first season they started with 20 people. They have normally had 16 (maybe 18 once or twice), I believe a few seasons back they started with 17, and cut one before ever going to camp. The show gets booked to the network for a number of weeks/shows, and they have to complete those shows. Having a few extra gives them insurance for these situations. That way the show can continue, and they deal with the problems as they arise. If they get closer to the end of the season, and still have to many, they may do a double eviction, to even it out. They may even take 3 finalists to the jury (as they have also done in the past).

Makes sense to me, the show can't stop because the old man's down.

Kurby, lets look at it (from a Big Brother perspective) as the Chima factor. Had they planned better, they would not be in the position of removing a player from the house, and being stuck with an even amount of votes at finale night.

What do you think?

And how about Russell going on a blind mission to find the immunity idol. Kudos to Russell. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

There is no doubt in my mind that Russell had a little help with finding the immunity idol.
