I think that what you posted might have been a spoiler, depending on where you read it, so it might should have been posted in white. But, saw a preview tonight and yes, it is Russell of Galu. It looked like he just collapsed during a challenge.

It looks like Russell passes out and hits his forehead hard!

Is anyone else wondering why Russell (on Foa Foa) is missing a front tooth? I can't see past that, every time he opens his mouth! :confused3

I hope that Galu Russell is OK, after seeing the preview for this week's episode!

Just watched last week's episode last night. I felt so bad for Shambo after she did so well in the food challenge and then couldn't share in the reward. I get that they were mad at her about the chicken, but it was a mistake. There's no way she purposely let the chicken go. I would say that decision may come back to bite Russell, but it looks like Russell may not be around much longer.

I could barely even watch that food challenge. There is no way in heck I could have downed that sea slug guts smoothie. I would have been out right away. I wasn't terribly sorry to see Ashley go, but I felt bad for her having to eat that nasty stuff under all that pressure.

Evil Russell came on way too strong with Liz. And what was up with him letting go of the coconuts so early while she - tiny she! - kept holding on to the whole weight by herself for quite a long time. He should be ashamed. IMO, he lost that challenge for them. Well, that and the fact that nobody on their team seemed good at throwing the coconuts.

After seeing those people shivering in the rain for 2 days, and then the food challenge, I officially decided I would never be on Survivor. :rotfl:

She had almost finished it, though. I don't get how should couldn't just finish it and puke afterwards. I think she was too comfortable. Anyone who thought they were at risk of getting voted out wouldn't have given up at that point.

Ah, I can't find Jeff's blog from the last episode! Anyone have a link? When I go to where the other's are, I can only find the latest blog post from episode #4.

Thanks!

ETA: Nevermind. I found it. Wonder why it isn't with the others?

While I agree that Liz was the bomb during the coconut challenge, Russell carried his weight too. Galu focused on him and filled up his bag long before they focused on Liz. I don't think that he lost the challenge for his team. It was his teammates who couldn't sink a basket that lost it. You also have to remember that their hands were in terrible condition from the rain. I can't imagine holding on to those ropes with my hands looking like theirs did. I noticed that Russell and Liz did not put anything on to cover their hands either like the other teams did. If Galu had put coconuts equally in Russell and Liz's baskets, I doubt Liz would have held out as long as she did.

I wasn't sorry to see Ashley go at all, I couldn't believe that she gave up that close to the end. Her tribe could have really used the pick me up.

The rain was outrageous! Jaison's feet and hands looked terrible.

Shambo shouldn't have been taken out of the reward. I agreed with her back talk to Russell one hundred percent. I think he is taking the leader role a tad to seriously.
Dave needs to watch it though, acting the way he did is a sure fire way to get sent packing.

I am wondering when the merge is going to happen, probably soon since Foa Foa's numbers are dwindling so fast.

I am (out of morbid curiosity) really wanting to see what happens with this challenge! It looks really serious. Apparently Russell passes out? Did they show that in the preview of last week's show?

If I remember correctly, on Thursday night, the previews show Jeff calling for the medics but we didn't see who went down. Then during Amazing Race last night, the preview showed that it was Russell of Galu. I don't know if there have been any other previews giving out more information or not.

Oh ok, so it was a seperate commercial. I thought maybe I stopped my tvo to soon :) Thanks for clearing that up for me Kirby!

I read a spoiler about this Thursday's show on survivorsucks.com - highlight if you want to read! apparently it is VERY serious - Jeff said he was "never that close to losing a contestant" before. The tribes thought Russell was seizing. Both tribes are brought to Tribal Council and are updated on his health - no one voted out.

So, today is my mom's birthday and was over there for a party. Survivor was on but I only got to see bits and pieces. Can someone tell me what all went on or is there a place online that I can watch the show?

What was wrong with Russell that he had to be taken out of the game?

You can watch online:

Honestly I don't know that I'd waste my time on this episode though.
Was anyone else as disappointed as I was in this weeks installment?
:confused3

Brief update...

Russell passed out, twice, blood pressure and heart rate dangerously low. He was pulled from the game.

Reward challenge: cancelled
No immunity challenge planned: both tribes were to vote one member out
Voting: cancelled

Everyone from both tribes went to tribal council together where they focused on Russell's departure and complained about the weather. There was a war of words; Foa Foa was in the lead when the challenge was called off and they insist momentum is swinging their way. Galu doesn't seem worried since even with Russell's departure they're up 8 to 5.

I did feel bad for Russell, but very Blah episode IMO

I was hoping they would have pizza for both teams at tribal council, I was disappointed when they didn't. They worked hard at the challenge and while I like Russell and feel bad that he was pulled, I think the others should have been rewarded.

I said the same thing! I thought for sure when they arrived at tribal council there would be pizza waiting for them.
Tonights episode was all about rain! Oh yeah Russell too!
Blah episode!!

I just knew after what happened to Russell, they would have given them all pizza. I was really disappointed at that.

I totally agree, I said the same thing to DD when it ended. It's bad enough when they only do one challenge, but they didn't even do that this time. I felt really bad for Russell. He may have been taking the leader role a little too seriously, but I think he meant well. He worked his tail off and he wanted to be there so badly.

I'm so glad it wasn't worth watching because I was at a charity event for our local hospital (where I work) with lots of champagne. I was also celebrating my birthday with lots of champagne. And one our tablemates was celebrating his birthday so I celebrated with lots of champagne. (They finally just left the bottle for me - LaSerra Moscato D'Asti - the best champagne ever) Sorry I am so OT I am still feeling giddy.

I really feel bad for Russell - he always struck me as a regular guy who didn't really want the leadership role, but one it was his, he tried very hard. Sometimes too hard, and sometimes making the wrong decision (like picking pillows and blankets over a tarp), but he always had the tribe's best interests at heart. (Like his reasoning for the pillows - to keep the women happy because if they're not happy, nobody's happy.) I hope he made a full recovery.

And like everyone else said, I thought it was kind of nasty that the producers didn't have pizza for both tribes when they went to tribal council. What's up with that?

Did you all see the previews for next week? What did they say: A "Russell seed" is planted at Galu. Looks like Monica (or that other dark-haired girl on Galu) visits the Foa Foa tribe. So I guess Galu wins another immunity challenge and they send someone to Foa Foa until the vote at tribal council. Not good for Galu: first Shambo becomes an "almost" member of Foa Foa, and now Monica.....
