The show seemed scripted today. I just didn't think Abbie had it in her to strategize like that. She has been so clueless all Season.

I think the strategy was holding onto $500 at the auction until she could jump in and get the immunity advantage - and faking the others out.

Haven't seen it yet - we are on the west coast - please tell me Abi just got lucky at the reward challenge and didn't win immunity. I want her out!

She couldn't have known that was in the auction. She would have probably left with her 500 if Jeff hadn't said anything about getting an advantage in the game.

I'll stay away from any big-time spoilers until west-coast disers have the chance to watch, but what in the world was going on during the reward "challenge"? Who the heck taught these people how an auction works?! The auction has always been one of my favorite rewards on the show, so I was excited to see it, but holy cow are these people awful at bidding!

I could not believe after Carter gave up his food in order to get rice and beans for the whole tribe that Lisa jumps in the next bid and out bids him and then tried to do it again the next item- i would have voted her butt out just for that. It really was RUDE! They should have let him bid for that next item and get it becuase he gave up his item for the entire tribe, he got screwed but he is so dumb that he probably didn't even know it LOL.

I agree. We watch the show and yell "shut your mouth Lisa!" at least 5 times a week! I am anxious to see what happens when it comes out that she was a tv star.

I thought so too. Abi is NOT bright enough to figure all that out for herself. And the last challenge undoing the knots which appeared to be simple square knots maybe consisting of two square knots. Way too simple for Survivor. If Carter didn't have to carry those weights as tired as he was he would have blown her out of the water.

They changed up the auction too. No pooling money or sharing food. Pooling of money was part of the game in previous shows to prevent the one they wanted out from getting any advantages. Like Mari said "scripted". Maybe they are using Big Brother ploys...putting "ideas" in their heads without telling them what to do.

As much as I dislike Abi, and I truly can't stand her, I have to give her props for holding out and waiting for the advantage in the game prize, and in her case I think jumping immediately to $500 to get it was a smart move. I just wish there wouldn't have been a share with everyone food prize. What was up with that? And no hidden throw away prizes either? Are they going for a kinder, gentler Survivor? Not necessarily what I tune in to see. LOL

I agree that Lisa jumping in and bidding against Carter after he had just given up food to benefit the tribe was a pretty snarky move, and then she goes right back into her I'm too nice to play this game narrative? WTH?

Although I'd be OK with a Malcolm, Denise, Skupin, Lisa final 4 that might make for a couple of less than exciting episodes coming up.

That wasn't new this season, they didn't allow it last season either and maybe even prior to that.

We always yell, "Shut up, Jeff" during the challenges when he's yelling commentary at the contestants, becaus we are sure that's what they are thinking, too.

I was pretty surprised that Jeff let Abi get away with the "there are two messages, and I only have to read one" thing before the immunity challenge! I thought for sure he'd call her out on that.

Before last night, had Carter done anything noteworthy? Talk about coat-tail-riders!

He has won two immunity challenges and has always been in contention in the challenges. He did last night give food to everyone by opting to take the beans and rice...good social game.
