Survivor Philippines**Sept 19**No Spoilers

I am so glad that the challenges have been more physical. I was so tired of the balancing and puzzles.

To me, Abi is the worst kind of person there is. So negative, always thinking the worst of others and trying to undermine them, and yet so oblivious that when confronted with it, she immediately plays indignant, as if she was the one being abused the whole time. I am so infuriated that I have to watch another episode with her on it that I am considering not watching anymore.

She couldn't have known that was in the auction. She would have probably left with her 500 if Jeff hadn't said anything about getting an advantage in the game.

I believe at least the last two survivors have had an advantage you could buy in the immunity challenge during the auction. So she had a pretty good inkling that there would be something similar this time. The risk was worth the reward.

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned them keeping Abi along for the final 3 thinking that she won't get any jury votes. The only one on the jury that like her is Pete and maybe Artis

Denise mentioned at one TC she would rather bring someone who worked just as hard as anyone and deserved a shot at winning than someone who was disliked by everyone and who didn't work hard.

I was pretty surprised that Jeff let Abi get away with the "there are two messages, and I only have to read one" thing before the immunity challenge! I thought for sure he'd call her out on that.

I thought one of two things happened.
1. Off camera, Abi asked if she could do something like that. (I doubt very much that happened, but I guess it's possible)
2. Jeff got blindsided with it. I'm pretty sure he has to improvise from time to time or he simply paused and asked the producers, director, powers that be, if it should be allowed. Don't forget there's always camera cuts and the time it took her to say there's two messages to the time it took to read it could've been as long as they needed to make a decision. Or, simply, Jeff doesn't interfere with strategy and he decided to continue with that policy.

Didn't she say something to that effect prior to the auction? It always seems like people who perceive themselves to be comfortable in the game don't think beyond the food.

They all thought they were safe so naturally their focus shifts to the food, they're all hungry. They figured this was the time to go for it. Unfortunately for Penner, that came back to bite him.

Before last night, had Carter done anything noteworthy? Talk about coat-tail-riders!

And I'm sorry to see Penner go!

How much leeway does Jeff have in influencing the game? Lying is a strategy and would Jeff have the right to expose Abi's attempted deception?

Did anyone notice the tongue Abi stuck out at Denise when she went to vote? What are you, in kindergarten?

I am sorry to see Penner go. He was really playing the game.

I saw Abi stick her tongue out. I laughed. She's something else.
I was bummed to see Johnathon go. He seemed to be Lisa's rock so I don't know why she wouldn't have aligned with him.

I was also sad to see Penner go. I thought he was a good player, unlike a few of the do-nothings that are left.

Before Abi read her note at the immunity challenge, she said, "I'm going to still carry on with my fake idol." Did she say that out loud in front of everyone? Or was that the end of her private interview (even though they showed her at the challenge when the audio played)? I watched it twice and can't tell.

Why was everyone so oblivious as to let Abi get a hold of the advantage during the auction? Every one of them has seen this challenge on TV before, and there is always some sort of advantage up for grabs. I'm surprised Abi was the only one who held out for it. Jonathan should have known better! I guess starvation gives you temporary brain damage.

Did anyone else think the last part of the immunity challenge was rigged? Why were the first two parts physical but the last one they only had to untie knots? It was a big Hmmmm moment for me...like they were setting Abi up to win.

It sucked to see Penner go and now I think Carter may win it as he seems to have gotten stronger in the challenges.

She called out for it immediately at 500. Nobody else would have been able to get it.

True, but by then most everyone had already spent their money on something. Nobody else had the strategy to wait for it and try to do the same thing, especially to beat her to it.

Anyone one else think it's hilarious that Carter NEVER talks! They never interview him and never show him having conversations with anyone. I'm not even sure he knows he's playing Survivor :rotfl2:

Lisa's rock?

Jell-O could be her rock. She's a head case.

If I were there I'd want to go to final 3 with Abi & Lisa.

:lmao:

And Carter was the ONLY one Penner hugged goodbye.

As much as I dislike Abi, and I truly can't stand her, I have to give her props for holding out and waiting for the advantage in the game prize, and in her case I think jumping immediately to $500 to get it was a smart move. I just wish there wouldn't have been a share with everyone food prize. What was up with that? And no hidden throw away prizes either? Are they going for a kinder, gentler Survivor? Not necessarily what I tune in to see. LOL

I agree that Lisa jumping in and bidding against Carter after he had just given up food to benefit the tribe was a pretty snarky move, and then she goes right back into her I'm too nice to play this game narrative? WTH?

Although I'd be OK with a Malcolm, Denise, Skupin, Lisa final 4 that might make for a couple of less than exciting episodes coming up.

On her fb page Lisa said that before she outbid him that Carter had already bought himself something else and eaten it, but it didn't make to edited cut. So he did buy himself something to eat.

I think Lisa is in serious need of a therapist- she sure has some issues!!
