Looks like we need to start the Official Blackbeard (Rupert) Fan Club! He is tooooooo funny.

What about the young blonde guy--the tribe clown. At first I thought he was really funny, but now I'm thinking he's gonna get on everyone's nerves and get himself kicked out!

Loved them butt-biting crabs. He-he.

Loved the show, but personally I liked it better last season when the chicks got naked, not the guys

Rupert should go far, strictly based on his strength factor . Besides, he's the early odds on favorite for show "character". Every survivor needs one - there was Rudy amd Boston Rob and Rob from last season.

I joined DIS KIDS. TUlli is right, it's easy to remember. Stupid question, though. In the bonus points, one of the categories is "sleeps away". Pardon my ignorance, but what the heck do they mean by that?

I found it amazing that so many of the men were wearing the same type of undershorts. It seems that they are wearing the "right" kind for being stranded. They aren't tighty whities, they aren't cotton boxers that would be flimsier in an island situation, they weren't boxer briefs, they were loose t-shirt material boxers.

Not that it really matters since they didn't keep them on for the challenge.

I enjoyed the show but laughed more at the fact that I am so hooked on it that even though we were without electricity and in the middle of a tropical storm I managed to find a way to watch it. We have a tv for the car so I hooked it up to the car, sat the tv on a chair in the garage, opened the garage door to the house and sat in the kitchen and watched survivor. We could hear the rain whipping against the garage door but still there sat the family watching survivor.

I liked Rupert stealing the other teams stuff. The naked butts have to go. I'm hoping that everyone starts keeping their clothes on but (no pun intended) I think the stick twins started a bad precedent.

I already had to change my team as I picked Nicole out of the blue and she is gone already. By "sleeps away" I woud think that the person is sleeping most of the day instead of working. I thought Rupert would have gotten points for that when they showed him sleeping in the middle of the day.

I watched our Survivor tape again and I didn't see where the younger/skinny Ryan quit helping on the challenge.


And Rupert could learn a few things from Sandra about bartering (trading one pair of shoes for a pineapple!)

I hope you all don't mind, but I just joined the DIS KIDS tribe. I've never done the Survivor Fantasy League before, so I wanted to be with people I sort of "know."

Last year the nudity didn't make sense to me. This year it did IMO. One of the guys was having trouble keeping his shorts on, yet had nothing else to wear. His teammates knew he was probably going to lose them during the challenge and told him if he did, they'd lose theirs too. It looked like the guy was too distracted trying to keep them on and just decided he'd be able to contribute more with them off. I thought it was kind of a sweet sacrifice. I just worried that they'd lose them in the woods and would be naked the rest of survivor.

I'm guessing some of the reward challenges are going to offer clothes or material etc., because things could start to get raunchy pretty quick with their limited clothing!

I don't think Lillian should have even been in the running last night, nor Ryan for that matter. They appeared to be good team players and would've probably enjoyed being on the other team! I'm glad they voted the way they did.

What a great first episode. DD Sarah and I watched it "live" and enjoyed it thoroughly. I watched it again on tape delay with DW Sue later in the evening. I noticed that when Rupert "pirated" the items from the other team, that he only took the dress shoes from Morgan's basket and that he left the pair of tennis shoes behind. Very thoughtful if you has me.

Before the episode, Sarah went to the Survivor website and watched the audition tapes. She told me that Rupert's tape was the strangest of all. Imagine that.

Sarah and I loved Rupert's skirt and the "Morgan Behind" caption was indeed priceless.

My only regret is that Ms. Hermosa Beach got voted off first. I should have gotten up early this morning to watch her comments on the Early Show. Since I lived in Hermosa Beach briefly in the 1980's, I was cheering for Nicole. With my luck, the next person out will be Lill (since she's from Cincinnati - the home of Skyline Chili).

I might just have to quit church choir again just so I can watch Survivor.

Another Rupert fan here! I loved it when he said that blonde headed obnoxious guy was just like the kids he mentored...LOL Tijuana is irritating too- but Nichole was worse... not sorry to see her go.

I think this is going to be a great season!

I could not believe the one tribe going to get water with just an oversized pan and some individual drinking bottles. Didn't they think to get any water containers of a good size?

And I do adore Rupert, but I think he's going to win "most likely to get airlifted off to a hospital" if he doesn't start taking care of himself physically.

Best line: "And I took the chicken, and the aluminum foil, and the tongs..."

My 10 yo dd was watching with me. Even she commented "why don't those idiots on the other team look at the map to find water". They went without water and never thought to look to see if there was a supply somewhere. But it took the Girl Scout leader and the produce clerk to figure it out

Rupert cracks me up, I love when he just looks at them like "***"

More than anybody ever before Nicole gave us the example of what not to do on your first three days. I also feel sorry for the "leader" of Morgan. No leader of the lesser tribe has ever made it, from Mike getting hurt to the others getting outsed for being to "bossy" once the team starts consistantly loosing. His pep talk may not be so well received the next time.

RUPERT FAN CLUB!!!

I love Rupert the Tye dye T and flower print dress was awesome....., "Morgan Behind" as a classic...I was impressed that all the guys dropped trow to support Osten....I definately am a fan of the Drake tribe right now...

I hope Ruperts blow up next week isn't as bad as it looks...I like Rupert...

I think Rupert is so funny especially when he pirated the shoes. The blonde funny guy is really getting on my nerves.

I joined both Disboard pirates and DIS KIDS. The pirates only have 3 members and the KIDS have 7, so there's still room to join. Did anyone get scores for last night? I can post Disboard's tribes ranks again if you'd like. I just need help from the other tribe.

DW Sue read an interview with Jeff Probst that gave a few insights into Survivor: Pearl Islands. Some might call them teasers, but I won't post the comments here as they might be considered spoilers. Similarly, I would warn those of you who want to be surprised to NOT look at the survivors website on cbs.com as they tend to explain a bit too much about the next episode. Again, for the curious, there is a little more detail about Rupert's "blowup" in the scenes from next week's episode.

I imagine that Probst's comments are available online (somewhere), but I would be happy to summarize to anyone who sends me a PM.

before but why waiting for Hurricane Isabel I turned it on last night. I love it!!! What a hoot. I don't remember the contestants names (i apologize) but the hippy guy was so funny. I love thy way he "pirated" the other tribe's things. I'll be watching this season.
By the way, did you see something on the news about the leak of the "survivor" and that this club is not longer taking bets on the show? I'll try and find the link and send it to you all. Pam
