Survivor: Palau...official Thread

I think Janu has been sick. This is what was said on the Early Show after Coby's boot:

Rene Syler: Every shot I saw Janu in she was laying in that hammock. Did she do anything?

Coby: Janu is really, really sick. From about day four, like vomiting and things like that. She was pretty sick so I don't really blame her. At least she was good at the challenges.

And from the Survivor Insider clips on the CBS Survivor website:

Janu (Confessional): We did get treemail today with a – something that looked like an electrical post, like a perch. And it said something to the effect of that we would be standing there for a while for immunity. So I guess we’re going into individual immunity, and it looks like it’s gonna rain or thunder (laughs) so we’ll see how that goes.

(Cut)

This immunity, standing on the perch, it really doesn’t make me nervous. I don’t get nervous that much. We’ll just see how well I do. I don’t know if my back is going to hold on. I haven’t been holding my backpacks for a while now for 24 days from work. I’ll try my best. I don’t know if I’ll use shoes or no shoes. We’ll see.

(Cut)

That’s what I was thinking, the costume part at work and I’ve had so much practice with that and balance, but I don’t know, maybe they’ll have us on one foot and I don’t do that at work (laughs). So maybe it will be to my advantage. Maybe the fact that I’ve not been doing it for 24 days now has thrown my body off, and my body’s kind of depleted a little bit. Let’s see. We’ll see what happens.

Well, I saw a commercial tonight during CSI:MIAMI, and it showed a part of the challange this week. The one that Jeff said if you quite, you will be alone.

It showed, Ian, Tom, and Steph. And it looked like they were in some type of cage. And the cage was sinking UNDER THE WATER. The very quick scene that they showed, showed them getting one last breath, before they were all fully under the water.

YIKES! I hope this challange is not as bad is they are making it look! But out of those three. Ian has the best chance at winning, seeing how he practiacly lives in the water.

i saw that too and thought the "banned to live on your own if you bail" was a great idea! i get tired of seeing people give up right away (Janu for one) just cuz they know they are safe due to alliances (or in Janu's case, cuz she wants to go home). Good idea--I like it!

I saw that commercial too! It looks like a horrible challenge! I sure couldn't do it! Of course I couldn't do 99% of the other challenges either!

Well, they showed another one tonight during amazing race. And it looks like its part of the challnge that was show in the last weeks TV guide. So I wounder what it will be for...Immunaty? I can't see them making it so hard for a reward. Thursday, can't get here fast enough!

TONIGHT ON SURVIVOR
APRIL 21

An unexpected performance by a tribemate during a Challenge results in a victory for the team.

Well the only unexpected thing I can think of is that Janu comes out of her shell during a challange. Maybe the reward challange.

One castaway confronts her tribe, leaving everyone feeling uncomfortable and leaving her feeling alienated.

What do we think either Caryn or Jenn will say something really stupid tonight?

A twist at a Challenge brings very bad news for one Survivor.

Well we have seen this in the commercial. Its the challange that is they quite, they will be left on an island all my themselves. 1) Do we think it will happen? 2) If it does, who will be left on the island alone?

In danger of going on the chopping block, a Survivor makes a heartfelt plea not to be voted off. Will this plea fall on deaf ears?

This could either be caryan or Janu. But at this point who knows.

I don't know--unless either one of them says something to anger everyone, the only one I can think of that would "need" to make a plea would be Steph. Lets hope not, lets hope not!

Can anyone who has watched Survivor for a long time not say that Jeff didn't absolutely manipulate thonght's TC?

Oh yes! Jeff completely lead Janu to laying down her torch and giving Steph another chance. Since I love Steph and how hard she is playing, that makes me a HAPPY camper!!

oh yeah, jeff orchestrated the whole thing tonight...god bless him! woo-hooo!!! I have a feeling unless steph wins immunity next week she'll be gone then, but who knows. Not sure I buy the women's alliance thing that they teased with...I don't think the blonde girl would go against greg.

But Jeff often manipulates the game asking pointed questions, calling people out, or taking people to task.

And that challenge tonight? Of course all the women are out first. Hopefully some immunities won't depend on strength and lung size so Steph can survive a little longer.

I so wanted Tom to hand Steph his immunity necklace. Then I would have loved him forever.

I'm not saying Jeff hasn't had a hand in things in the past, but never to this extent. Nobody's going to do what they don't want to do, but I think it was obvious which way he thought it should go.

Whew! That was close!! I totally agree that Jeff manipulated tonight's tribal. But I AM glad to see Janu go. I guess from an audience standpoint, I want to see the most DESERVING person win the $1M - so that would be Stephenie, Tom or Ian. From the players' standpoint, they want to get rid of anybody who would be a threat to them - again, Stephenie, Tom and Ian. Gonna be lots of nailbiting until the finale!

Does anybody know when the finale will be? May 12 or 19? Don't they usually do the finale on a Sunday?

Yea.

But I am happy things went the way they did. I like Stephanie.

oh yeah, so am I! woo-hooo!!!! I have a fantasy that she finds a way to take it all the way. Go Steph!

Wow! What a lucky break for Stephanie. Why didn't Janu just say she was quitting from the beginning of TC instead of having to be led into it? Didn't she know that she could quit at any time?

No not really because in the end it was Janu's choice to quit, Jeff just put that option out there for her. I think it was great, there's no way that Janu who wanted out should've stayed over Steph.

It's really Tom, Ian and Greg's fault if they hadn't been so obvious that it was Steph going she would've never cried, which in turn, help persude Janu to quit. Silly boys, blew the whole game right there.

I think the target on Tom's back couldn't get any bigger, he should've thrown that immunity challenge, the first one he loses he's going to be voted out.

If Steph has her way with the girls, I predict a Steph/Jen final with a well deserved Steph sweep for the money. I think she just might be the best player to ever play the game.::yes::

I wish Tom and Ian had stuck with their alliance with Stephanie and turned the tables on Greg... :sad2:

I LOVED IT!!!!!!!!

I am so glad Steph isn't gone!!!
