Survivor: Palau...official Thread

OMG I found myself tearing up when Steph read the mail saying she was joining Koror. She has got to be one of the most deserving players ever. I'm so glad she stuck it out this long.
Did anyone else catch when Ian said he'd take off his clothes for peanut butter and chocolate - ala Jenna Mareska (I think that was her name)? :rotfl2:

I did! LOL! I also loved Jeff's response.... No one wants to see you naked, Ian. :rotfl:

I was suprised that it wasn't Janu to go home tonight. They have been complaning about her for WEEKS now. And here was their chance to get rid of her. I sure one of them would like to sleep in the hammock as well.

I am upset to see Coby go. But I think he did what he did tonight, to make sure that the rest of Koror didn't go after Steph.

I only think this because of what he said before he pulled her over to give her the low down on the camp. He said some thing like "I will do everything I can, to make sure that Stephanie stays in this game. She deserves it. She has shown she is a survivor, just by being the last of her tribe." Something to that effect. Because I do think that Jenn KNOWS that she is threat to her and the rest of the lazy women of Koror. (Because after Coby pulled Stpeh to the side, the only thing that Jenn and Kate could think about was what Coby was doing, and what he was talking about.) So I bet we will be seeing some heavy backstabbing on the part of Jenn and it will all be pointed in Steph's direction.

But I do think that Steph already has an aliance with Tom, Ian and Kathy. Though I am not to happy with Kathy being in it. Because when Steph was talking to Tom out in the water, and he told her that they had always been thinking about her, and were glad to have her there, you could tell that she was releved to find out that the secret aliance was still intact. At least for now.

And I was shocked to see her dive off that platform for some pizza. But she did have a point. I think she knew that Tom could have stood there for a few more hours. And could have ended up with the necklace anyway. So why not go ahead and jump down and have some real food, since she has been eating nothing but coconut for the past few days. And I think deep down she knew she was safe tonight, because of what Tom had told her.

So we know that Coby likes Steph, and thinks she could go far. But will he vote for or aginst her if she makes it to the final 2? Only time will tell!

They were smart to get rid of Coby. He was getting on people's nerves plus he is a threat. They will put up with Janu as long as they can if they are smart. It's time to get rid of the good players.

It would be great to see Steph, Ian, and Tom - the three most deserving - in the final four. However, if they keep that alliance they will have to compete HARD at the end. If they are going to stick as an alliance, they need to get rid of the other guy (whose name I can't even remember) and Caryn next.

Glad the merge is done-now the game should get interesting!!! :Pinkbounc

Note to self: If I ever get on a reality tv show, don't drink. :rotfl:

Can you imagine what a hard time Tom's buddies at the station are going to give him when he gets home?? :rotfl2:

I got a phone call just when Steph got that mail. And, how did those 2 tribe members get to camp. The one's that taught them how to fish. What was that all about.

My next thought is, if now they are playing for individual immunity, wouldn't you want to get Steph, Tom, or Ian out???? If the group had lost immunity I can see them voting for janu, but why would you, when I would be shocked if she won 1 immunity or got 1 vote from members at the end.

Well ... there were 9 people left:

The following have an alliance to go to the final 4:
Steph (You go girl!!!)
Tom
Ian
Katie (right? or is it Caryn? I'm a little confused on the 4th member.)

There 2 are allied with the other 4, but may or may not have been promised the final 4:
Gregg
Jenn

Then there was:
Coby
Caryn
Janu

Since 6 people are in an alliance with the 3 strongest people, they would not be voted out just yet. Honestly, I thought Coby was the 3rd or 4th strongest player in the game. He was very good at puzzles and good at the physical challenges too. Since he was strong and not a member of the alliance it made perfect sense to boot him before he could become more of a threat. I really liked him and I'll miss him. I liked his sense of humor and his cattiness.

Thanks for letting us know the source of your spoilers. Since they are so accurate, I'll be skipping them in the future (which is easy since they're in white :)) I found that it wasn't as much fun watching the show last night knowing all those details.

They came on boat and stay over night.
It was their reward/celebration of a merge. They taught them how to fish.

True, but Janu is a week player... at this point of the game all of the dynamics and strategies change. You want to vote out the strongest players, since they are the biggest threat. While Janu does seem to complain a lot, and do next to nothing (IMO), she isn't a threat. I liked Coby, and wished he could have stayed around a while longer, but he certainly was being a pain in the rear to the rest! LOL He was a strong player too. In the end, I'd like to see Steph win the whole thing.

What do you guys think of this?

Coby is a CLONE of this guy I grew up with. He was my "boyfriend" in 5th and 6th grade. We went to different HS's and lost touch. Until my oldest DS started pre-school in 1999. Ended up DS was in the same class as this guys DD. He was a SAHD, so he was dropping off and picking up. So for two years, we stayed in touch, then we moved to another town. We lived there for 3.5 years, and then moved. The 2nd week of school the kids had open house, and I bumped into this guy at the school. He was surprised to see me, I told him we were back. Our kids are older now, so we don't see each other at the school anymore, but I do run into him all around town.

Sorry to ramble, just a little backstory. Anyway, I ran into him at the supermarket a couple of weeks ago, and we got to chatting. I couldn't stand it anymore, and came right out and asked him if he watched Survivor. He said no. I told him he HAD to watch it at least one time, because there was contestant on there that was HIM. Everything about Coby reminds me of this guys. Right down to the voice inflections, and mannerisms. Do you see what I am getting at? I have not seen him since then, but last night, watching Coby, I was thinking, "Oh my, what if he DOES watch the show, what is he going to think when he sees this Coby?" LOL!
Maybe I should of kept my mouth shut!

I would like to see Steph win it all....she is more than deserving. She won most (if not all) her leg of the challenges and always pitched in around camp. If these people were smart, they start picking off the stronger guys... keeping the "lazy girls" around to lose immunities.

What is so funny is Janu states in her pre Survivor interview on CBS....I will NOT be one of those girls that complains and whines all the time, and she went on and on about it. Jeff Probst thought she would be a big factor in this game....that she was in shape???? and being from Vegas "cutthroat" showgirl background.

Correct me if I am wrong....but isn't Coby gay??
he might wonder about this since he is a family man.

I was thinking the same thing, but then I reminded myself that just because you're gay doesn't mean that (1) you can't be married and (2) you can't have children. It happens all the time in my little section of Wisconsin.

I agree, she didn't mention he had a wife, I assumed.

Just saw Coby on The Early Show. Someone asked him why he didn't pick Angie to be on his tribe in the first episode. He said that originally he didn't pick Angie because he thought they both had big targets on their backs, and that by picking Angie it would just make his target bigger. In hindsight though, he wished he would have picked Angie because she was such a strong player.

I have to say that I liked Coby from the beginning, but there was something about his attitude last night that made me think "I'm ready for him to go!" Guess I got my wish!

That is my point! he IS married, and I realized how obviously gay Coby is. What will he think if is does tune in to watch? LOL

I mean, he is Coby's clone. I'm sorry, but he looks exactly like him, and has the same mannerisms, he even sounds like him.

He may take offense, he may not. But I think I will be ducking from him if I see him around town in the recent future. ;)
