Survivor: Palau...official Thread

I can't believe I missed last night. I had a meeting and taped the show, well the time on the TV was off. Not sure how that happened. :confused3 I was so upset and now ever more reading what a GREAT show it was and how priceless their faces were.

I think it would of been really cool to see Ian interact with the Dolphins, and I am sure he would of LOVED it.

My DH said the same thing. I said that it would be a new experience for everyone else though, but he commented that this would be unique since this would give Ian an opportunity to do it in the wild!!

I thought Caryn's acting was hysterical. I would never have been able to keep a straight face.

With Katie basically admitting she has no loyalty to anyone, willing to ride whomever's coattails to the final, makes me hope so much the fight next week is when she realizes she is next off the island.

This can't be happening! I'm supposed to be the next Amber! Gregg is Rob!! How can I be Amber if you vote off my Rob!! But I'm cute!!!! I WAS SUPPOSED TO BE THE AMBER!!!!!!!

Here's my opinion on the fight next week...

Katie feels betrayed because they changed the final five alliance. They voted off Gregg instead of Caryn. They had vowed to stay together as five.

She knows that the three of them (Gregg, Jen, Katie) were going to go with the plan and vote off Caryn, then go for Tom, but they would be true to their five alliance.

The other three (Ian, Tom, Caryn) didn't know Katie was going to turn. I think they kind of got that feeling from the reward challenge and decided to make the move before the other three could do it to them.

Just my thoughts.

GREAT show last night! I must admit, I couldn't believe Ian told Katie how they were going to vote, but looking back on it, that was the right move. Katie decided to vote Gregg off instead of having a tie and taking a chance on HER being the one to pull the purple rock.

For the previews, I don't think Ian and Katie's argument has anything to do with the vote at tribal. Katie is the one who flip-flopped, and Ian told her how they were going to vote, thus sort of keeping Katie in with her original alliance.

Next week and then the finale! Woo hoo!!!

That's it exactly! What I don't understand is why Katie is so upset in the previews. She had been had. Why do these people get so upset, and act like it is a personal attack, when someone playing the game realizes the path the game is taking, and does something to save their own butt.

Great show!!! Go Tom and Ian!!!

I wonder if this thought went thru Gregs head... I've been bamboozled! (tee hee)

I also freaked when Ian said something to Katie... but I didint realize it was right before tribal. Who knows if Katie could of figured it out after the first tie vote... lol

And as Tom said to Ian, as the boat was pulling out... That's the icing... we want the cake. So true...

And Kudos for Caryn... she played down and out very well.... when she was smiling in the interview, I was thinking, she would blow it...

And Ian's comment about Tribal being interesting...Greg... Interesting how it will play out?? (gasp) OH My I thought he blew it...

Ah, Katie was just whining because they did unto her before she could do unto them :rotfl: Some people get mad when they get caught in a situation like that, and apparently she's one of them. If I was Ian, I'd tell her to get over it or she might just be next. Right now, it's Ian and Tom's game to lose.

Hopefully now the girls are seeing how stupid they were not to form an alliance with Steph and get rid of some of the guys. The girls cannot beat the guys in the challenges and arent going to snag immunity--unless its a sit on you butt challenge then Katie has an excellent chance of winning

Does anyone else think that Caryn is now in "control" of next week's vote? My wife pointed out that she holds the swing vote between the boys (Ian and Tom) and the girls (Katie and Jen). If I were Tom and Ian, I wouldn't count on Katie's vote again. And if Jen is smart, she will try to get Katie and Caryn to vote off either Ian or Tom (although I guess that logic didn't work last time).

Isn't it funny how Caryn went from "the next one to go home" to the driver's seat in just one show.

Unfortunately I don't think the girls will ever stick together long enough to vote off the guys.... I would guess that Jen will be next to go (unless she wins immunity) since Gregg is no long there to protect her.

I hope Katie is next. The guys know where Jenn stands but katie waivers to often.

I'm thinking Caryn is pretty loyal to Ian and Tom. She knows she has no better chance with the women and I don't think she likes them. She had the chance to have a female alliance and she didn't want it. I don't recall Caryn ever talking about the million. I wonder if she doesn't expect to win, but just to get as far as possible. Maybe she believes Ian or Tom deserve to win and she and the women don't.

The women have not done anything to make them deserving of the million. Only this week is Caryn actually thinking like a Survivor and playing the game (the mental game). Would any of these women still be in the game if Koror had not consitently won immunity? I bet Caryn would have been one of the first to go.

Very shocking episode. I was shocked that Ian told Katie the plan. I guess he took the chance on swaying her, but if she hadn't they would still be in the same place. So, good thinking on his part. I'm shocked that Katie went against Gregg and Jenn, although I think it was in her best interest to do so. I loved all the looks at TC. I wonder what's going on with Ian and Katie next week?

I was shocked at first but then I started thinking maybe that was part of the plan. They were hoping Katie wouldn't want to risk having a tie and would vote with them (Ian, Tom, and Caryn) so she needed to know before they left for tc.

Oh, and I loved the look on Jenn's face too! :teeth:

Basically, Ian let Katie know that her flip-flopping wasn't going to work. For Katie, it was either go ahead and vote Gregg out and be safe for another three days, or force a tie and have a one-in-four chance of pulling the Purple Rock of Death and going home!

This makes no sense - and it didn't make sense to me last night.

The last time I saw a tie was when when Pasquel (sp?) got the "purple rock"...it was a tie between him and one other person twice in row. After the second tie - only the TWO of them pulled a rock.

I didn't understand why Tom/Ian thought everyone BUT the 2 people who were tied pulled a rock...I never heard that?

Caryn really did do a good job, didn't she?! I have to say I was impressed. I thought she might gve it away. Ian almost did though with his comment about tc being "intersting."

Last nights episode was a great one! I kept wondering how it would play out, but in the end, I think the right decision was made. The look on Jenn's face was completely priceless, and the jury's reaction was that of complete surprise! LOL Awesome! :rotfl:

ITA. If Koror had lost a couple of immunity challenges, Caryn and maybe Jenn might have been long gone.

Thinking about it a little more, two players hold the balance of power -- Caryn and Ian. Caryn for the reason Towncrier said -- she's the swing vote between Tom & Ian and Katie & Jenn. Ian because he has a strong alliance with Tom and because he and Katie seem to be really close. Thing is, could Katie convince Ian to turn on Tom? I don't think so, but stranger things have happened. My money is on the Tom/Ian alliance to hold.
