Survivor: Nicaragua Wed, Sept 15**No Spoilers**

How much you want to bet that Fabio blows all his money? ;)

What a tan Dan has! And that was nice thing Holly did.

I don't think he will. It sounds like he has a bit of a plan. Like many of us thought, Fabio proved to be sharper than we gave him credit for and to me this was one of the most satisfying finals. I'm still not sure what chase did to garner so many votes. Maybe his final TC swayed some of the jury. Loved the look on Jane's face, sure glad she didn't have a shot gun with her. And Naonka is still delusional. The smartest player there? Yeah, right. And please don't try and tell us that your game personality is totally different than your real life one. There's always a little of the real you coming through.

Just a few questions from the end, since I was trying to make lunch for today and watch the final 15 minutes.

1) Do we know who voted for whom?
2) I was so focused on the new twist tot he show, I never caught WHERE it's going to be. Can anybody fill in that blank?
3) And I missed part of the idea of redemption island. I get that when the second person gets there, the two compete with the winner rejoining the tribe. Does that mean the loser then goes home? Doesn't that lengthen the season a bit? I wonder how they'll handle that.

As far as the two versus three debate, I think having three at the final TC allowed the producers to enlarge the group of survivors. Remember they started with 16, then grew to 20 (I think I have that right). I like the idea of three and am curious what would happen if we got a tie.

Who else LOVED Jeff cutting Shannon off at the knees during his "call 'em like I see 'em" crock?

I imagine the vote was so close because those voting for Chase only saw Fabio as the clueless, happy go lucky person he portrayed. As in a lot of seasons, if the jury could have voted after seeing the show aired, the vote probaby would have gone another way. I'm thinking that those four voted for Chase because they felt like Fabio flew under the radar and didn't do much, which is how several winners have won.

I liked Fabio from the beginning. He was always like a big, clumsy puppy to me. Did he get on my nerves? Sure, a number of times but I always liked him.

I don't think that they told us where Redemption Island is going to be. As far as making the season longer, I'm sure that they have it worked out, maybe having fewer players, more like the first couple of seasons. Or double eliminations figured in somehow.

Sash's biggest mistake was in not saving Brenda. I'm sure he could just kick himself now.

I think Chase played a good game and he handled the jury questions well. He was straight-forward and honest with them all. Either Fabio or Chase would have been a good choice.

I am not as big a fan of Jane as I was. I think her childish behaviour and her bitterness soured me.

Marty is still blind. He can't see that there are other ways to play the game.

Dan was a waste of space for the entire time.

Sash didn't get any votes because the players on this show (and others) don't seem to like to vote for the outwit part of the game. I wasn't a big fan of his but he did do a good job of reading the winds of change in the tribe.

Survivor. Outwit. Outplay. Outlast. ( And do your best not to alienate the folks you vote off on the way )

There are many, many players. who are legends in their own mind, who forget that tad bit at the end.

Did anyone else notice when they were doing the coin challenge that in the background behind Jeff way in the distance that you could see tall buildings? I'm guessing they were hotels. I thought that was really strange and something I've not seen on Survivor before. They usually try to keep the illusion of being in the middle of nowhere for the tribe life and challenges.

I totally missed that...there are a lot of arial photos of the beaches and I've never seen a hint of a building before.

I know that Survivor can't show it's hand every show. They want to have some element of surprise for TC. But, c'mon. Really?

Brenda approached players about voting off Sash, NaOnka told on her. Sash confronted her and she admitted it. And we never heard a peep about it until the after show last night?

I get that the producers were building suspense for the viewers. Is Sash going to save Brenda with the necklace or not...but they are held back big game moves that, IMO, would make the game more interesting in the end.

MY DS15 is a huge Survivor fan, but I think he was disillusioned by that as well. I've mentioned editing choices before, and he usually shoots me down and sides with the show. But even he agreed that was a pretty important move to just leave on the cutting room floor.

I hope Redemption Island is enough to give the show a new spark. As much as I love Survivor, I admit I was pretty "meh" about this season. There were several times that I forgot to watch until days after the episode aired. That never would have happened most previous seasons.

So glad they changed the rules re: quitters. I hated that Kelly and Naonka had a say in who won.

There was a bit more to it than just that. Since the season is over, then I'm guessing that spoilers are probably OK. Sash offered to pay Jane's mortgage off if Jane would help him get to the final 3 and also used her influence to get others to vote for him so he could win. Jane outted him at tribal council when she was so angry. She told everyone what Sash had promised her. Since that is against the rules, they edited it out of the tribal council and the contestants were given a talking to about the rule.

We thought that too...it would have made more sense why Brenda was voted out. The way it was shown, it made the move so random. Why would Sash vote out one of his own pack members, and put himself at risk? Plus, imho, it would have shown that Sash was a stronger leader than Brenda too.

I don't read the spoilers because I really don't want to know the outcomes of the show. But, I'd read about the "Sash offer" earlier on this thread?

Did his offer actually get caught on film? ( I know Jane's version was on film and edited out ) But did Sash get caught on film?

I 100% believe Jane over Sash and think he'd make an offer like that in a heartbeat, but did the producers know anything about it prior to TC?

Interesting, was that verified anywhere?

I was happy Sash got NADA, just like Russell in HvV. That is how you play the game, Fabio played the goof ball card, the I don't know what's going on, and he went and won the last and most important immunity challenges when he totally knew los 3 amigos were after his head. Amazing how his game changed it, I loved how they all were kissing his butt after he won the last immunity, and how he exposed Sash in front of the jury twice, without being nasty or having a tantrum.

I don't mind seeing more Russell, just not so soon, so im glad he is not on the next season.

Fabio won the last 2 immunity challenges because Chase was boneheaded enough to admit that he wasn't a real part of the Final 3 alliance. They played up the whole mom thing, but in reality, he won because he HAD to, and it was Chase's mistake to not let him believe that the Final 3 alliance was Fabio/Sash/Chase all along. That was why I thought Chase shouldn't have won. I thought he did a good job (much better than Sash) of explaining his choices of backstabbing people as strategic moves. I don't think anyone, even Jane, really believes that Chase was an insincere person.

Sash, however, sealed the deal by pleading his "I really value your friendship" b.s. at tribal. I loved when he was telling Fabio "you're my best friend" and Fabio was just shaking his head in disbelief. Sash would have done much better if he was honest and talked about how he made it the final 3 after his original alliance falling apart and finding himself on the outs, or how he talked Marty out of the idol. Stuff like that.

I love what you said about Fabio and glad the jury finally saw that he wasn't a dumb cookie after all. During tribal council he did a great job of coming across as a just a straight-shooting, honest guy, but what he was really doing was pointing out the flaws in the other two's game.

Indeed, he out them right in front of the jury when he thought it was the right time for him to do so. You're so right, no one believed Sash's BS, he lied and lied left and right, Fabio was just taking it all in but you could tell just by his expression that he was not buying it at all.
Holly was right, Chase didn't do anything on his own, he just followed Holly around, even at TC when he asked the others for approval, the only reason (i think) the girls voted for him it was because they liked him and he was always so cozy with them, he was their big teddy bear.

I read somewhere on Facebook about the "deal" Sash wanted with Jane and that it was edited and the Jury was told not to comment at all about it.

Do we know who cast the 5 votes for Fabio and the 4 for Chase? My guess is that the 3 men voted for Fabio. I'm curious as to which girls voted for Chase over Fabio besides the ones shown last night. I have searched for the video clip, but cannot find it. Thanks!

We saw "those", rewinded, and stopped the show - looked like tall, whit-ish buildings - it was cliffs in the distance, with something white going up... in slo-mo, it almost looked like white sea spray was what we were seeing.

The person who told the story was on a spoiler site. I believe the information is correct because the same person listed the entire boot order and also other info such as Naonka quitting. This poster posted the entire boot order before the first show of the season. They have also posted the boot order of the two previous seasons before those shows started for the season. Definitely an insider. The poster said that many of the survivors were mad at Sash because of that. He said that if you notice the editing during the tribal voting on the show when Jane went home, they show Jane talking when she writes down her vote. Then on the insider clips, they cut out what she is saying.
