Survivor: Nicaragua Wed, Sept 15**No Spoilers**

You know what's been bothering me about Brenda? She looks like a celebrity and I couldn't figure it out till just now... Maggie Q who stars in the remake of "Nikita." Brenda is a little darker but other than that, dead ringer.

She reminds me of a younger Adriana Lima.

I'm sad to see Marty go. I didn't want him to win, but now it seems like too much of a cake walk for Brenda and Sash to the finale. None of the other players are stepping up against them. Either someone will have to get enough sense to create another alliance that can blindside one of them, or someone will have to make it through to the finale 3 on immunity challenges alone. Otherwise, it's going to be a fairly boring couple of weeks.

I'm really hoping Fabio pulls enough people together to vote Naonka out and that creates an alliance that doesn't kowtow to Brenda and Sash. It's not that they are so smart - it's just that no one else is even bothering to play the game. I'm sensing that some people (the guys who voted Jane) are going to be hurt they weren't let in on the real move... so we'll see if they do anything about it.

I'm sooooooo glad Marty's GONE!!!!:cool1: I could not STAND him!!! Good riddance!!!:woohoo::woohoo:

Me 3 - I think my blood pressure would rise during every episode where he got camera time!! I only WISH it would have been about 2 weeks earlier and he wasn't on the jury - so then I wouldn't even have to hear him talk again!

I can definitely understand why people didn't like Marty, but I'm with wdwgirl and southernbohemian, I'm disappointed he's gone. At least he was trying to play the game.

It seems like the prevailing strategy this season is lay low and fly under the radar. Doesn't make for very exciting TV.

I wonder if anyone was rethinking keeping Dan around after his performance on the reward challenge? Carrying dead weight, betting they won't get the votes to win at the end, isn't always the best strategy, at least IMO.

I must be one of the few who is kind of disappointed that Marty is gone. Like I said last week, I couldn't stand him but then everyone else started getting on my nerves that I was actually pulling for him!

On the other hand, somebody please explain to me the comment Jane made about how Marty is a "disgrace to all fathers." Seriously, maybe I just have a bad memory but what did he do that was so terrible that she has this horrible chip on her shoulder? She's such a baby too, cheering when Brenda won immunity and then winking at Alina when he got voted out. She needs to get the heck out of there soon. Oh, and NaOnka...

Really curious as to what happens next week.
Maybe Naonka goes on a rampage and trashes the camp and smashing all the jars, ruining what food is left.

I'm trying to remember why Marty and Jane were at odds and I think it all started back when they where together in the older tribe before they mixed. I'm thinking that he believed her fluff and did not bother to get to know her. She was not in on the voting, etc. Then when they mixed with the younger tribe, she voted with them instead of with him. That's when he began campaigning against her.

I too have learned a lot from Survivor and one of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned is that in any negotiation (and Survivor is a 39-day negotiation) the less you talk and the more you listen the better off you will be. Marty should have listened more.
Marty was playing the game but he didn't know when to keep his mouth shut.

Maybe Marty knew they were playing him and were going to vote him out. So as they were heading to tribal he goes back (saying he forgot something) and lit the camp on fire.
Now of course that would have backfired if they kept him, but could you imagine if that's what it was. :scared1: :rotfl:

Good one!

The expressions on their faces reminded me of the time the camp burned down in another season. But maybe an animal got into their food? We'll have to wait and see.

:thumbsup2

That is the first thing I thought of when I saw the preview. I said to my DH "I bet Naonka goes crazy again!"

And NaOnka - I don't know what to say any more. Every week I can't imagine her getting any worse, but somehow she manages to do it. "This is the way I am" - well honey, if I were your employer, your pink slip would be waiting for you!

Keep in mind that she is a teacher. I told DH "Can you imagine having your child in her class?" And then, what I thought was the best quote of the night came from NaOnka, "I'm human. I'm a humanitarian!"

After all her shenanigans this week, I'm ready for her to go!

That was a total Princess Bride moment for DW and I while we were watching. We both looked at each other and said, "I don't think it means what you think it means." :rotfl:

I think she was being honest in the sense that people who eat only vegetables are vegetarians, and NaOnka eats human babies, so she must be a "humanitarian"

Cannot wait to see her go..

between stealing Fab's socks, knocking Kelly down, stealing the food and blaming the other girl, her mouth, and other antics... she better hope she won, because she won't have a job...

I caught the tail end of a Survivor commercial during AR last night and though I saw flames. Maybe the camp did burn up.

I never liked Jane, but after last night I really dislike her. I think her comment about Marty as a father and not wanting her children to play with his children was a low blow. She seems to forget that this is a game. She has a huge chip on her shoulder and absolutely no class.

I tend to agree. I don't really think Marty has done anything to warrant such venom from Olive Oyl.
