Survivor - Guatemala

Now, I'm waiting for Survivor: Antarctica. I think this would be great. Dog sled racing, ice fishing, etc. I can see it now. Or how about Survivor: NYC. They have to live homeless in NYC, find shelter, etc. Great television.

Me too!! A cold Survivor would be fun!

I thought Steph's reply to Lydia's question at tribal council was so rude. We just looked at each other with our mouths open. Didn't she say something to the effect that she kept Danni in the game and voted her out because she wanted to go up against the best? She all but said it would be no victory to beat Lydia because she was worthless as a player.

Yet Lydia herself knew she wasn't that athletic and all. I thought Jeff's comment about her "short little legs" working was more rude.

You would never see a cold one since you wouldnt be able to see women in bikinis and barechested men...yeah bare chested men....

Just one more thought about Lydia...

It seems every year the producers pick at least one person that appears to be nothing but the best bet for 1st voted off. IMO Lydia was that person this year. It must have been bugging them that all the hotties (both male and female) were getting the boot and that the firefighter (and others) got hurt and then got the boot.

Not the first time it's happened either. Makes the game interesting, but I don't think the other players are being rude in pointing out their weaknesses and liabilities, especially when they are still competing as tribes.

All you need is a hot tub for a reward challenge ;). There would be plenty of half naked bodies.

Yep, you beat me to it, I was just going to post that!

Survivor is all about the abs, seeing them starving, and wearing Buffs in various places. (as a bra, skirt, hat, neck warmer, shirt.....)

I didn't take Jeff's comment about Lydia's short legs as being rude. I thought he was complimenting her stamina and "never give up" attitude in spite of having little legs compared to the others.

I thought this too- & he complimented her strategy of being good around camp & a morale booster & said that can be a good way to get to the end too. (vs always winning immunities)

I never understand the comments about who "deserves" to be in the final 4 or win. There's way too much affecting who gets there...luck (challenges, including the athletic person whose foot slips and loses, for example), personalities, who else is a better choice to be voted off before someone else, who gets sick or hurt, etc. Even someone who doesn't do anything but stay under the radar...so? If that's what gets them to the final 4 or a win, then good for them! It may not be who I would choose to win. Lydia "deserved" to go as far as she did, because...she DID it. If it was all about physical ability, it would be a computer game (or have a pre-qualifying athletic contest) not one involving human beings, warts and all. And because of human emotion, you're not going to necessarily get a bunch of people who were turned against by members of their alliances saying to those members in the final two "wow...good move! You win!"

As far as Stephanie wanting to go up against "the best"...if the goal of the game is to win the $1 million, and you're going to discuss the strategy, going up against "the best" and winning would be nice, but it's not necessarily playing the game well, especially if it's highly possible you won't win.

JMHO :)

Oh...and I DO think comments to someone about their "little short legs" to be somewhat rude. Commenting on someone's negative feature..."little short legs" on an adult isn't something considered particularly attractive...is rude. He, and others, could have easily admired her for her stamina even tho she was older and less athletic, not make comments about her body. Reminds me of rude people who say to my mother how "cute and little" she is...it's condescending and obnoxious.

According to ET last night. The next Survivor will start in March. So we have Amazing Race in Feb, and Survivor in March.

I cannot find any confirmation of that. It would tend to cause problems, for a 14 episode order, which is Survivor's typical Spring season order. They'll have to start by the middle of February, at the latest, or have a lot of double-episodes.

Saw a Survivor Exile Island commercial tonight on OLN. The show will start on Feb 2, 2006. So ET had it wrong.
