Survivor *Cagayan* BvBvB Next Wed 2/26!

Tony is getting on my nerves. I forgot, do the idols go away after the final 5 vote? Otherwise he's basically guaranteed final 3.

I like Woo and Spencer.

I am not sure Tony will win in the end against whoever he may go up against. He seems like the type(as he has shown us so far), to "show off" that he made it and they didn't. Like he is better, he is extremely arrogant about the whole thing. I see him being cast in the next "villians vs heroes" type game when they have it again. Ugh, and I hope he gets voted out first!!!!:rolleyes1

In pretty sure that's what they said last night.

Tony may be grating to some, but he is playing a good game. My choices would be Tony or Spencer.

I want ANYONE to win besides Tony and Trish!!! LOL My faves are Woo and Spencer too, my feeling is at least Kass is playing the game(so I am OK with her winning too, Trish has done nothing.

I feel bad for Trish. She's like a skeleton. I wouldn't want her to win though. Kass seems devious but I'd take her over Tony. He's a pompous butt head.

I wish Kass would have stuck with splitting the vote between Tony and Trish.

For Kass, the calculation was simply, "Who do I stand a better chance of beating in front of the jury?" I think she does stand a better chance against Tony than Tasha so she probably made the right call. I really don't think she could beat either of them though.

My opinion, Spencer has to go on an immunity run or we're going to be left with some pretty unappealing options at the final tribal council. That's a shame because it's been a pretty great season so far.

At this point, I would only be happy with a Spencer win, and I could deal with a Woo win. The other three? eh.

I can totally see the jury planning on voting for Tony because, while he is annoying and arrogant, he has played a strong game, BUT when he gets up in front of the final jury to make his speech and answer their questions, his arrogance flames up times three million and they all change their minds.

I hope at least one of Spence or Woo make final three because I can't stand any of the others.

I think it is very rare that jurors change their minds or that they go into the last tribal council not knowing how they will vote. They vote for who they least mind losing to, and I would think that might be a guy who had three idols over the course of the season and controlled many of the votes. I wouldn't write Tony off based on his gameplay. However, I do agree with whoever said Spencer has a "winning edit". Woo's edit isn't looking too shabby either. He has voted against all my favorites and been in the alliance I root against, yet I still really, really like him. If there is any reason why I think Tony might lose, it's the golden treatment those two are receiving, not anything he has said or done. Then again, maybe production just likes them.

I disagree. I think the final tribal council definitely plays into some juror's votes. Some, like you say, know who they are voting for and pretty much nothing will sway them. I can remember finales where I've seen jurors say something along the lines of "I really don't know who I'm voting for. Your answers to this question will determine that." I'm pretty certain there was one juror who did that during FVF 2, because I remember the question being asked to Dawn and Cochran, because the juror (can't recall exactly who it was) thought Sherri was a complete non-entity and told her that to her face.

When they say "I don't know who I'm voting for", they are lying 9 times out of 10. Many, many past survivors have said that basically everyone knows who they are voting for going into final tribal.

Like you said, there are the occasions where someone has a fantastic jury performance and may garner a vote or two. But, those occasions are more rare than you would think, and when they do happen, like I said, its only 1-2 votes that are swinging.

Well, okay. But 1-2 votes could win the game sometimes. Not all the time, I know. But sometimes. Though I don't think a small amount of votes would matter this season.

I just could see Tony talking himself out of a million dollars. He doesn't know when to shut up.

There is that :rotfl2:

I really like Woo after seeing how well he interacted with the local kids. He seemed to be in his element there.
Tasha played a great game, too bad.
Go Spencer. Tasha and he seemed to be the strongest in the immunity challenges, so now with her gone, perhaps he can win his way through.

I can definitely see that also!!!!!

What date is the final episode? I may need to set the DVR.

I agree! I don't think the show is rigged either. I think if it was rigged, the news would get out by other contestants coming forward to say so. If contestants have, I have never heard it. I have heard contestants complain about editing portraying them in a bad light, but not that it is a rigged/faked show.

If you've ever been a contestant on a tv show they make you sign your life away promising that you won't TALK. The penalty for speaking out? FIVE MILLION DOLLARS. Russell Hantz dodged a bullet on this one back in the lawsuit that he leaked info to the Survivor Sucks website.
Thanks to a lawsuit that was filed last August by DJB, Inc., a company run by Survivor executive producer Mark Burnett, CBS been able to identify Season 19 runner-up Russell Hantz as the alleged culprit who blabbed secrets about the long-running reality competition show. The news was first reported by The Daily Beast, which points out that Hantz may now have to pay "liquidated damages" to producers of $5 million for breaching the non-disclosure clauses in his contract to appear on the program.

He never was directly sued by Burnett et al but I'm sure they gave him some major lip service.:rolleyes1

Stacey Stillman from Survivor's first season sued because she claimed that the production company coerced the voting to keep Rudy in the game. No one denied it but I don't think she got her settlement, which was to get on a show that was NOT manipulated or 5 million dollars. Settlements like this are usually swept under a rug lest they have many more to follow.

Even Burnett insists the shows are not "reality shows" but "unscripted dramas". He doesn't have to comply to the game show statues (even though they should) so he's free to do what he wants with the show.

I really dislike Tony. Like, REALLY dislike him. And it sort of scares me that he is a police officer. But, I can't begrudge that he is playing one heck of a game.

Funny, back in NY he was pretty TYPICAL of the kind of cops I grew up with! :rolleyes1

Interesting tribal tonight.:rotfl2: I didn't care for Trish, so am glad she is gone.

Cass's nonverbal comment was funny!

I have two questions:

I do not recall from when Tony found the immunity idol with special powers, how far into the game can he play it? Or is it now "dead"?

And- did I hear that the final is next Wednesday? I am so used to the final being on a Sunday, that the Wednesday final is just odd. Luckily-TiVo will record it whether I am watching it or not...but I like to watch the finals live, not later.

So-I'm still not sure I know who I am rooting for. I don't care for Tony, but I do really like the game he is playing. In other seasons, if I have hated the villain, I have not wanted them to win. But, maybe I would be okay if Tony wins. I also like the game that Cass is playing.

Can't wait to see who wins!

The finale is Wednesday. I can not stand Tony- he reminds me of to many guys I know here in NY! I so hoped he would have been voted out weeks ago!
