Early Show breakdown please....from anyone who could watch! (stuck here in an office on a beautiful day!)
Harry Smith: Good morning. Open up I want to see this T-Shirt. What does it say?
Shii Ann: It says "Vote For Me". I was going to wear it if I made to the final 2. But I thought I'd wear it today.

Harry Smith: How do you feel about the way you did finish?
Shii Ann: Oh I loved it. Honestly, I played the game as fiercely as I could. I'm really proud of the way I went. I was the last Mogo Mogo standing... I won an immunity challenge.

Harry Smith: People were like, Shii Ann, you were so in their face to the rest of the people there last week. Did you know you were doomed?
Shii Ann: I knew I was going, I was the last Mogo Mogo. I won it purely due to my will power. I couldn't help celebrating.

Harry Smith: Did you feel isolated?
Shii Ann: I did. It was difficult when no one was cheering me on and being alone on the tribe and everyone telling me: "Well, you're going to go, don't worry...you're off. You're going to eat tonight." I had to win that immunity challenge, and I had to go out swinging.

Harry Smith: You got close last night, it was down to you and Big Tom. Big Tom ends up winning. You had your fire going there, just not quite strong enough.
Shii Ann: My lungs weren't quite as big as Big Tom. I couldn't get the fire started as quickly.

Harry Smith: He wins the IC and you're the last of the Mogo Mogos. I saw you running around like crazy literally trying to light a fire under the others. Was it all falling on deaf ears?
Shii Ann: It was completely falling on deaf ears. There was a strong pecking order within Chaboga Mogo. It was silly for the people low on the totem pole not to flip. I tried to talk some sense into them, but they wouldn't listen. They're content to be fourth or fifth.

Harry Smith: Your monologues last night. You had plenty to saw. Did you feel you had any effect?
Shii Ann: I tried to talk some sense into the people left in the game. I voted last night for the person who I thought had the best strategy, was scheming the best and who was going to go all the way if nobody watched out.

Harry Smith: Little innocent Amber, under the wing of big strong Rob.
Shii Ann: I think Rob and Amber had a very similar strategy to Kathy and I although I wasn't romantically involved with Kathy.

Harry Smith: Tom wins the IC, he's got the power. We were screaming at the TV, Tom take control.
Shii Ann: Tom didn't want to. He thinks he has an alliance with Rob. He didn't want to take the opportunity.

Harry Smith: How sweet was it when your mother came on last night for the RC?
Shii Ann: It was great to see my mom. She doesn't have an iron stomach like myself, so she couldn't eat the water bug. That was fine... I didn't really want her to have to suffer.

Harry Smith: A lot of crying for you Shii Ann on the show.
Shii Ann: This year was very emotional. I was a lot hungrier and a lot skinnier. I was like a big teardrop, a lot of the time, towards the end.

Caller: When Big Tom won the reward and took Rob with him, how come you didn't go along with the people on the island to vote off Rob?
Shii Ann: I did try to make some deals happen with Big Tom and Alicia and even Rupert. And, you know, I actually did get along with some of them. I was quite friendly with Rupert. He was probably my favorite person left in the game. You saw it last night. I did try to shake things up. A lot of people were content with being bottom of the totem pole, 5th or 4th.

Harry Smith: He laid a very good foundation early, Rob did?
Shii Ann: Rob had everyone believing they were in an alliance with him, which is really silly if you watch the history of the way he played the game. What can I say? I can only bring a horse to water. Can't make them drink.

Harry Smith: It was proven that Boston Rob was a snake in the first season he was in. Why is it that everyone is working so hard to make an alliance with him?
Shii Ann: That's a question I keep asking myself. I don't know what kind of VooDoo magic Rob had, it obviously worked, and good for him.

Caller: When you were on Survivor before you played the game very similar by forming weak alliances. If you had it to do over what different strategy would you take?

Shii Ann: I actually did switch up my strategy this time. Last time, I was very outspoken with the tribe, very bossy. This time, I took a very under-the-radar strategy. I couldn't have made it as far without an alliance. I had a very strong alliance with Kathy, which you didn't get to see too much of on the show. And my whole plan this time was to be under the radar, to expect the unexpected and to kind of let other people think they were the boss, and it worked for me

Caller: Hi. You and Alicia seemed to be antagonistic towards each other. Might have advanced had you formed an alliance. What was the issue between you two? I think you really messed up at the end.
Shii Ann: I do not have a beef with Alicia at all. I tried to form an alliance with her on the show before this one and she thought she had an alliance with Rob. She didn't want to hear it. I played as hard as I possibly could. You can't make other people see logic.

Saw her on the Early Show. She really didn't say alot. She said that she had a strong alliance with Kathy that didn't come out in the show.

I cam into the room a little late, but did I hear her say that she was dispelling the rumor that she and Kathy were lovers?? I thought I was hearing things...maybe it's the meds I'm taking. ;)

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

She said that she and Kathy had an alliance just like the one Rob and Amber had...than went on to quickly add that they were not also lovers.

Thanks for the transcript, Phamtom!

And Kirby, I'm in the minority with you. I always like Shii Ann too.

I thought Shii Ann played a good game. She tried to stay low profile. When it became clear she would be target due to being in a minority tribe, she tried hard to mix it up and point out what others were refusing to see. Her victory in last weeks challenge was pure will and she deserved to be gloat - of course you would say "take that" to people who had already told you that you were next to go! I share her frustration that people were just waiting to be taken along with Rob and Amber instead of taking charge of their fate!

I am so tired of Shii-ann talking about how smart she is & how dumb everyone else is. She went home before Rob, Amber, Tom, Jenna & Rupert, so how is she smarter than them? Bottom line, Rob has made everyone feel they are in alliance with him. They aren't stupid to believe him; at some point, you've got to trust someone. So far, the only person he had an "alliance" with & turned on was Alicia. He didn't have an alliance with Lex. He spoke one sentence to him "take care of her & I'll take care of you". Well folks, that ain't an alliance, if Lex thought it was, he was stupid.

You are forgetting how he shook hands with the other Rob and then promptly voted him off.

She is smarter because she could see what the others can't. That Rob can't be trusted. He has them all "bamboozled", to borrow Richard Hatch's words. They will wake up when it's too late.

And what did you think about Rob bragging about lying to Lex to his brother?

I thought it was funny. I guess I really see it as a game & you do whatever you can to win. I can see how many people are annoyed by him, don't get me wrong. I like him, though. I think the show would be boring without him.

I guess I just don't consider that an alliance. At least the way the show was edited, it seemed that Rob C. was kind of "out" of the main group anyway. Plus, how many people did Rob C. make "alliances" with in the Amazon (I think that's where he was) and everyone said he was the best player never to have won. While Boston Rob has been viewed as the "evil" one, he's the only one to stick his neck out, knowing full well that it could bite him in the butt if he does make it to the final two.

Better yet, what did Lex think of it when he saw that episode?

If I were Rob, I'd worry. With that mohawk, Lex reminds me of Travis Bickle.

Sure seemed like an alliance to me....particularly when they shook on it.

Frome the Survivor website:

The gloves came off at Tribal Council, where there was only room for one Rob in the Chapera tribe. Rob Mariano, the 28-year-old All-Star of SURVIVOR: MARQUESAS from Canton, Massachusetts, blatantly broke his newly formed alliance with Rob Cesternino by leading the rest of Chapera to vote off the 25-year-old castaway of SURVIVOR: THE AMAZON from Wantagh, New York, in a five-to-one decision. After being ousted, the distraught Rob C. complained, "I feel like I was kind of targeted unfairly. It's going to take a little while to swallow this one."

I don't deny that he is playing a good game, but he has had some good luck also. Lex stuck his neck way out also when he evicted theother strong men. If he was still around people would be touting his brilliance.

Hi guys,

I just started reading this thread but I had to add my two bits....

I like Boston Rob and think he's actually PLAYING the GAME...I don't think he's got a great sense of honor and I wouldn't want him as a friend....but he does play the game well....and boy, does he keep it interesting!

And the rest of the Survivors are complete IDIOTS for not voting him off these past two weeks.....Shi Ann was right.......Amber is the one to watch out for...

ok, rant over......:teeth:

WHAT IS WRONG WITH THEM???????? Rob should've been voted off last night! I love the guy,but he should've been the one to go! Why can't they see that? That's what I don't get! The only thing i can think of is they keep him around because each feels like if they're the last one standing next to Rob,they'll win. I don't get it. Stupid. Shi'an was right.

I so agree! These survivors should SO know better than to think you can trust alliances - particularly with someone like Rob. These are either the dumbest survivors ever or else Mark Burnett is doing a real editing job on all of us at home watching and shaking our heads. Only time will tell.....

I also agree that the players left are not playing it very smart. It's so obvious that Rob and Amber have a relationship, yet each of the other players believe Rob will take them into the final 2 over Amber. I honestly don't get it. I really like Rob, but it's so frustrating to watch how dumb these players are playing. As I said before, the way things are going, Rob and Amber will be in the Final 2 with Rob winning and they'll have no one to blame but themselves, JMHO.

Don't care for Rob but he is playing a great game. If he's in the last two, the only one I don't think he will win against is Amber. If the jury puts their personal feelings aside, they'll vote for Rob. The only Survivor to play a good game and not win is Rob C. At least that's my opinion. Richard Hatch and Brian ? were the only other Survivor winners that I actually thought played the game well. But that doesn't mean that I liked them either.

I remember awhile back, and I believe it was Rob C. that mentioned it, that people would come up to Boston Rob and tell him that Rob C. played a much better game and that BR didn't care for that at all. Wonder if he feels like he has to win just so he can one up Rob C.

You know, we see Amber, but then we really don't see her. Wonder if that means anything.

I was just reading your comments everyone and while I agree that I don't think the remaining group left are using their brains, I personally think they should have voted off Amber. That way if Rob goes to the end it won't be with her! Perhaps this would also mess Mister Rob up some and they might actually feel like he isn't controlling the whole thing.JMO

I do think that Shi Ann stirred up the pot and it would have been interesting to see who would have went this week if she'd have won immunity again.
